They have just held screenings yesterday. People have tweeted about good things. One critic from HBO said it rocked. So it's a good sign so far. Things can change, though.

Things have changed. Warner Bros. has announced they will be holding back all reviews of the film until just prior to release, this Friday.

Every time a studio does this, it's been out of desperation to cover up the bad buzz that will get out once the film comes out. Every time.

I'm getting a queasy 'Batman and Robin' feeling here...

i have never worried about critics, they'll most likely hate this, but that will not sway me one way or the other

👆 Yup same, I'll like it if I like it not because someone else tells me to.

But they liked Iron Man, Batman, and Thor. One or two critics sure but if it's getting a rotten reading on the tomato-o-meter it is usually is dead on with my opinion 80% of the time. Not saying it's going to stop anyone who's determined but determination never changes the quality of a movie. I still want to kick Michael Bay's ass for Revenge of the Fallen.

Pretty much every tweet and early fan reviews have been pretty solid. I don't know if it will be big at the box office or if critics hate it, but that won't change my opinion on the movie.

Theres going to be a after credits scene for this movie, Sinestro finding a yellow ring.

That is a lot of money jawdrop

From the trailer, it deserves to do well, imo.

It's getting hammered by the reviews... Damn. I was really looking forward to this. It had the potential to be a new "Star Wars" and it seems that they failed spectacularly. I'll still see it though.
Honestly, I think Green Lantern has the most potential of all the Superhero movies. Too bad.

There's been quite a few movies I thoroughly enjoyed that didn't receive good ratings, so I try to take 'professional' reviews with a grain of salt.

I hear in the end credits, there's an advertisement to buy the Geoff Johns collection of Green Lantern paperbacks. That's crass if true, and looks bad when you consider Johns is Chief Executive Officer of DC Entertainment. 👇
Is the film just an informerical for Geoff Johns' DC work?

although the "roadster" scene(if it's actually in the movie) looks stupid. From what i understand it's kind of a hot wheels ad.

It's been getting average reviews, so it will probably drop after the second weekend. I still see this getting around Thor level at box office and hopefully decent OS...hopefully. 😛

I don't care about the critics at all. The only one that is worth listening to is Ebert.

It started at 31% critics approval at RottenTomatoes this morning; now, it's fallen to 20%. Average or mixed reviews would have it in the 50 to 70% range. It's getting terrible reviews.

Pretty much everyone who I know likes it, so I don't take critcs to heart.

Who you know? Critics or movie goers? It's not actually playing yet.

I'm going to go anyway because I'm a fan and I'm curious; it's the casual moviegoers who are going to give this a pass if the bad reviews are plentiful enough.

Just friends who have seen it. I think this is more for comic book fans than average movie goers, like critics. I don't see Roger Ebert as a casual GL fan.

i've seen the movie..the CGI was great..but the movie itself..i feel like they could have done better..
