Nope. For starters, Tricky had one great album, Massive Attack had 3. And without Massive Attack...well...dunno if you know enough about the two to make my point...but Tricky's not "all that".
First off, what albums are great and what aren't are subjective.
Second, Tricky was the main creative force behind The Wild Bunch, Rob del Naja bases most of what he does on Tricky.
Massive Attack, while very good, just had the most accessible sound of a unique and fascinating genre. They used trip hop in a true, but accessible way. Tricky was less accessible.
Tricky's Maxinquaye may be a peak he'll never reach again, but it's a peak Massive Attack haven't reached...ever.
