No, I'm not gullible enough to swallow the bullshit that you were gullible enough to swallow yourself.

Haha... no.

Protection money seems to work well. Thanks for bringing this up because it furthers my point. If the bully/protection raqueteer knows you have the money, you think you'll be safe by pretending you don't have it? or keeping it from them?

Ignoring bullies doesn't make them get bored and go away, it makes them angry for ignoring them and they escalate the confrontation to violence.

Technically, you CAN win a war by hogging/controlling resources
And so war is what they want? And here you were professing that they were avoiding it.

Make up your mind.

Why do you defend Hudlin's writing so feircely? Its crap writing.

i dont think he was trying to discredit any one too neatly, or human continuity what he's saying is wakandans are so advanced while white ppl wre living in caves they wer charting the stars...and of course that was a snap back at Doom for saying that "black ppl" make up in physical attributes what they lack in intellect

in terms of tech im guessing, if you wanna count the inhumans, where even tho there are a few blue, green ,yellow, and grey denizens they are all basically disfigured caucasins. also the Eternals wrote the book on advanced civilizations so i guess you got a point there...even tho i remember there being one black eternal and he was a mechanic or something(like they would have black folk doing anything other than manual labor 🙄 )

Yes, because mechanics are stupid. 🙄

What you don't know won't hurt your feelings.

That's when you STAND UP to 'em and punch them in the nose.

I never said that they were avoiding war. I said that the "Cure" could be used as a weapon (Actually or Politically). So yes, they are avoiding war by keeping their cure secret (As far as world knows, there's nothing to fight over).

Like everything else in life, there are Infinite points of view.

Where his writing is concerned, some people get it.
Some people don't

In this case all it'd take is the one time thing of sharing the cure for cancer that I doubt they really have. After all this is Hudlin. It was just a throwaway line to make them seem smart.

Not that that has anything to do with what I said...

Nice. and then they come back with their friends to attack you.

Course if people keep blabbing about it like they started to do recently...

And what you don't get is that it sucks. Its gimmicky. It ignores continuity and its riddled with stupid stuff like with Nightcrawler and Storm. And the other reasons previously listed.

Face facts Its bad on technicalities. Not things that are opinion.

If it gets written off as an alternate reality then there will only be minor problems with the story.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about, at all.

Additionally, comparing polio and cancer is frankly stupid.

Thirdly, to say that medical science isn't attempting to find cures for human afflictions is insulting. I'd like to see what exactly you're doing to help people with cancer, Parkinson's, Huntington's, Alzheimer's, stroke, cardiovascular disease, muscular dystrophy and so on.

It was a throwaway line to make people go "Wow, even Reed doesn't have the cure for cancer." Instead it made most people go "Wow, what a dick."

I could argue with you clowns all day about real world health issues and Politics.

However,

What I will say, is that if you're THIS offended by a "Throw Away" line.

Maybe it's time to put the book down, and talk to somebody.

or agree to disagree and stop hate'n

Why should we. The fact is Hudlin put the line in there trying to get one response and instead made BP come off as a jerk. It is like any other part of a comic it is up for discussion just like any comic book fight.

Who cares, let the Wakandans keep their resources to themselves. Anyone remember what happened when the Egyptians started sharing their secrets, resources, and culture with the Europeans?

You've clearly shown you're an authority on health issues, what with your vast knowledge of the "probably 6 different types of cancer." 🙄

Well, since I'm white, I obviously think the worst thing about Hudlin is that he's black. I mean, that's the only logical answer, right? RIGHT!?!?

Resources? You mean the knowledge of howe to cure cancer? Its not like we're talking about going in and strip mining for vibranium. We're adovcating sharing knowledge with the rest of the world.

Course I could always just point out what happened when a country wasn't satisfied with the sharing of certain resources in the modern age...

i've just been reading the "the other" storyline, and i WAS going to come in here and complain about hudlin having the dora milaje give spider-man cornrows, but then i realized hudlin named on of the stories he wrote "destiny's child." so i just came here to laugh.

Problem is this entire form thinks that hudlin Introduced most of his ways, Black panther has always been a secertive, close minded, selfish prick. Hell Panther at one time was willing to scarfice his own damn family in order to preserve wakanda. Why do you think him and Doom have a strange respect for one another. They are not all that different deep down inside.

dodgy

So what you're saying is the only reason people like him is cause he's black and really brings nothing redeemable to the table that doesn't already exist else where in another character?

except doom's a megalomaniac hell bent on world domination, ceremoniously defeating the fantastic four and any hero who'd come against him, and [according to hudlin's interpretation] a borderline racist.

if it came down to me having to sacrifice my family to save my country, i like to think i'd do it for the greater good.

the black panther as written by priest was a distrusting, dismissive and, at times, arrogant jerk. but his character had layers. his plots had intrigue and were written in such a way that the action played perfectly off the dialogue and ross' narrative. sure, some of the stories were weird. black panther's whole crew in the wild west fighting alongside some version of thor? but they felt right, t'challa was unbearably badass in the most underspoken way, and the stories were as readable as can be.

as written by hudlin, he's been completely zapped of his personality. he feels dull, his plots really amount to him "winning" by default half the time, and none of the interesting tidbits hudlin tries to throw in come across as interesting. they, like this "cure for cancer" crap, come off as overly-boastful, out of character and generally lame.

THAT'S what's so bad about hudlin. really.

i guess in a sense, yeah. I'll shop for the "brother" man instead of the "other" man (it's my money, I buy what I like. Which often translates into something i want, need, or can relate to). In a sense i feel like if I don't support him, who will?

I've been reading comics for 20 years, and i feel like it's the first time i've ever had a real choice for a Black Hero. All sorts of writers do unpopular things.

bottom line, I'm willing to see were Hudlin goes with this (Up is the goal. By any means necessary).

😂 Implied racism.

Just sounds like he is giving another side of the equation to me.
