What's So Bad About Hudlin? Really?

I'll do it.

I think it's not racially motivated. Especially since you were kind enough to leave in the part where he says:
"You think i actually give a crap about McDuffie? I love and care more for Silver Surfer then this sharkbait if i ever get my hands on him."

He's insulted by the writing and if you think that was racial you're pretty clearly looking for insults.

Funny? Sure. Accurate? Yeah, it was piss poor writing and even McDuffie has admited it.

Speak english retard.

So aside from calling me names and attacking the dialect that I selected to use

You skipped the part were somebody's solution to his "poor writing" was to form a "Lynch Mob".

Jasper, TX. The 90's. That shit still happens.

The equivalent would be an extremist Muslim talking about blowin up "infidels" at Marvel's Middle Eastern branch (if they read comics and such a branch existed).

Over a comic book.

Omg he said lynch mob. Tell me to alert the PC police 😐

Picking apart the quote is pretty pointless anyway since a lynch mob is any mob that kills anyone for no reason. It in no way specifies that the target will be black.

They almost burned down an embassy because of a comic strip already.

Freakin' Awesome 😄

New X-Men rocks! (even if the art kind of sucks in this arc)

It's about time that Elixer got a big showing too 😬

What can I say?

I stand corrected.

Elixer's a BEAST

Was Fantastic Four really canceled or is he talking about his subscription? If it is, that's hilarious.

It doesn't bother you that a person with no range of vocals, no musical aptitude can become a famous "musician" by scribbling down a few pointless sentences in a AB,AB rhyme scheme? There are a few exceptions but as a whole the genre exists by rehashing the same gangster-babble over and over again. There is nothing thought provoking about rap lyrics, and the genre only it exists for the sole purpose of perpetuating negative stereotypes... Is rap the musical legacy you want to leave to future generations? A genre of music that glorifies violence, drug use... and pretty much every thing that is wrong with society to day and yet requires little to no actual musical ability?

1. Rapping is not just talking its more compliacted than that. To be a talented rapper you need talent. You need to make good imagery, play on words, metaphors and similies.

2. This is the thing if your going to crticize rap at least know something about it. There are lots of rappers that dont rap about gang violence and negative stereotypes.

3. Alot of producers play musical instruments and then use tech to sample it.

4. Ever heard of The Roots?

5. What about screaming in rock vocals? 🤨 You need very little talent for that

6. You know you say there is very little racism. Wasnt there an incident were members of the American Army were practicing shooting and they said "Imagine you're in the Bronx." 😐

Its not appropriate. Jews werent the only people to die in concentration camps but it would be a bit inappropriate to make a concentration camp joke.

I dunno man most people associate lynch mobs with the KKK. You know the writers black so you mention something about lynch mobs? Inappropraite?

edit

Whats so great about heavy Metal? All they do is scream words you cannot understand. What kind of talent or skill is required for that.

The rock of the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's is much better than the rock of today. It's just a bunch on insane people jumping up and down screaming, at least thats all hard rock and heavy metal are.

Thank you Alf, I read Sranks post and although I wanted to reply, I thought why even waste my time. You pretty much took the words out of my mouth.

Cheers. 😄

P.S I havent forgotten about your pm by the way.

7. Oh yeah I was under the impression that eventhough mixing decks were not musical instruments they are still difficult to master.

8. Breakdancing is part of hip hop culture. That aint easy to do.

Did people really think that David was really going to be killed off in New X-men?

Seriously, it's obvious that Chris Yost (the book's writer) has mad love for the character.

I'm not gonna lie. I thought he was gonna get killed off. In all fairness why not?

Being depowered isnt exactly fine and dandy either, is it? Especially when you used to have badass powers. 😒:

You need a merely adequate understanding of imagery, metaphor and simile that any public school kind would have, its not like we are talking about lyrical complexity that rivals William Blake. Its basic stuff.

There are lots of innocent people in jail too... but the vast majority of them are guilty.

There are always exceptions to the rules. Mall rap, Christian rap and in a lot of cases Alt. rap (Jurassic 5 and stuff like that) steer away from the drugs/money/guns/violence "themes"... but that doesn't change the fact that the high majority of rappers fallow those blue prints.

True enough... but how many producers rap? Not every producer is Timbaland. 😎

Your list is pretty much the embodiment of the what I described though... all though I give Mos Def some props and Kardinal has heavy reggae influenced (but still lousy even though he is Canadian). I could maybe understand listening to Kaos or The Roots or something, but that list is... is... oh never mind.

You'll notice how I mention the Roots. 😉

You'd be surprised, being able to scream without tearing the vocalcords to shreds is very difficult and you need tons of talent to transition form death growls to high pitch screaming and effortlessly back into the normal vocal range. Who here thinks they can scream for a couple of hours straight with out losing their voice?

I listen all sorts of music. Some of my friends (and my brother) listen to rap, so that means it is forced upon me in large doses when we hang out. Hell, some of the people I know fancy themselves rappers! It's not like I'm talking out of my ass here, I know what I'm talking about.

Wrong in so many ways. Rhyming line for line is one of the most difficult things you could ever attempt to do.
