Don't compare Thanos to a GL, they don't even work in the same range of power.

IN order to absorb the constructs, surfer's will would have to supercede Hal or Kyle's own. NOT happening. Surfer is a pacifist. He doesn't have much "will" to speak of. Also Hal has shown that he can effortless travel thru time, turn invisable, and any other thing he can think of. versatility is clearly on his side.

In what way does someone's absorbing energy, deal with their will power? I would really like to see this on panel.
Surfers will was recently restored by Galactus.
What has Hal or Kyle done besides creating hands and such, that Surfer can't or hasn't done?

Will and pacifism aren't opposites of each other. You can be a pacifist and still have tremendous will. SS would have to have a strong will to not allow his soul to be captured by Mephisto.

He still has to over power the will of Hal and Kyle in order to absorb thier constructs. That just aint' happening.
