Infinite Crisis vs. Civil War

Started by Help6 pages

Not a big DC reader but Crisis looked good.I liked the way CW ended as it was the way things should be.Annihilation owned them both.

Pretty much. Marvel Earth is officially ****ed. Annihilation has already killed 2 A-list characters and the whole Nova Corp. Killing Quasar was big, BUT THANOS!? 😑 AND BY DRAX?! Now that's ballsy. Although, given Thanos's MO, we have not seen the last of him.....

Killing off the Earth 2 Supes was big. and I thought his final moments were glorious. Umm....who died in Civil War again? Did they kill anyone on the A-list? Or B-list even? 😬 I can't think of how they could have screwed this up even more.

So a good story for you is measured by the number or quality of the character killed off?

I think the plot and outline to Civil War was far superior to Infinite Crisis, I personally feel that controversy arises over how the storylines were executed ✅

So killing more than 600 people was not such a good way to launch CW then.

Nah. Killing off character helps at times, but it's not always a good thing. But CW was hyping that people would die. Things like bringing back Mar-vell were extremely contrived. I admit it was decently done, but it was a blatent ploy to get readers back into CW.

It's not the outline or concept of CW I have a problem with, as I said. It's the timing and tying it to current politics. That sours it in my book. I'll also admit to some DC bias. 😗 But the ending was depressing and it left a feeling of profound wrongness. Whereas in IC, if everything wasn't completely set to right, at least there was a feeling that things were going back to normal, that it was a clean slate.

You're twisting my words now, that's just mean 😮

I think that deaths are just sometimes an obvious way to substitute good storytelling is all I am saying. I'm not saying that if a character dies the story is automatically good or bad, but it will definitely sell. Civil War didn't feature many deaths of significant character (And ina an early interview the writers stated they didn't want many deaths of prominent characters) and even had a completely unnecessary rebirth of a character, but it nonetheless sold well and was enjoyed by many (Myself included)

However, unsurprisingly, preference is all subjective at the end of the day 😄

Annihilation...

Anyway, I didn't like Cival War from the beginning, middle or the end.
I wouldn't even read all/any ('cept a Deadpool or two) the other stories involved.
Some out of work pornstar vs a war hero...

Crisis was better in almost every way... nope, every way.

Crisis 10/10, anyone who says else, is a racist.

Amazo headrip for the win.

Heres how I see it

Crisis Build up ( Villians United etc etc) +Infinite Crisis 1 through 4 and 6 >>>>>>>>> all of Civil War

Infinte Crisis 5 and 7 = Civil war

I still see those two as far better than Cival War.

crisis was better and that's the sad part

OK... my opinion is switched...

His revival was done hella better than Mar-vells.......at least Jason did something productive upon his return.

Mar-Vell is a better character than Jason...

Not current Jason....and the question is,do you want to see a character as good as mar-vell in the current marvel universe?

Is that a trick question?

😖hifty:

Personally, I think Civil War would have been a little more bearable if they didn't have so many stinking delays.
