Again I have no idea what screenplays are out there. But at no point in any draft of any screenplay was it ever implied that Elizibeth was 'stuck' on an island, or even chose to stay alone on an island, or was restricted in here comings and goings in any way.
Well check out Terry comment about Elizabeth on his website...There might be some clues and his whole view point of the leaked script that is out there...

it'll happen in AWE....chow yun fat kisses her thinking she is Calypso and Norrie kisses her when he helps her escape the FD...as a goodbye kiss, before he dies!

oh yeah THANK YOU SO MUCH Diva 🙂 well...so try to recapitulate EVERYTHING we know about it...maybe we´ll find out something so...jack feels lonely and wants to be immortal and he is ..hmm..convinced no one likes him so he wants to leave everything... Will must make a choice his father- or liz...but he promised he´ll saved his father...so i think he´ll do it...
liz...what about her??? she still loves will (but i think they said it only because they must...they can´t said -even though it probably ended JL-that "nooo she doesn´t love Will anymore!!!" well it would be kinda obvious...so does she love also or only...jack???this question is STILL unsolved...and she gets kissed by sao,norrie,will...and i am almost sure jack as well..what does this would be like without another so passionate and so in love kiss??? i am looking forward it so...
but...i hope there will be at least few "so in love" scenes between jack and lizzie.. 🙁 it would be horrible if there weren´t scenes like that...

At last a voice of reason to clear the insanity. I'm surprised so many people actually bought the 100 page script as legitimate. It shocks me how few people questioned the relationship of its appearing two days after the novelization came out. But, what's done is done....
Guys, let me tell you, there are sooooo many juicy tidbits in the novel! I've got some quotes collected, so I'll post my ideas. Most of it's not J/E related, but it does having bearing on the plot of the rest of the film.
For now, let's move past the 100 page script and onto the realm of possibility!
You know i just thought of something and forgive me if someone has already thought about this but:
Obviously Will has a choice to make either be with Eilzabeth or Save his Father. Will went on record and said "I keep the promises I make Jack, I hope ur here to see it."
lets back track to when Will went to see Elizabeth in the Jail...will says "and then I INTEND to come back here and marry you, if u'll still have me." ok there is so much wrong with that sentance first of all IF U'LL STILL HAVE ME? why IF? he hasnt seen the kiss....and it's the day of ur interupted marragie, why wouldnt she marry u? she loves u...right? and second he never said I PROMISE i'll come back here and marry you.
Ok now lets speed up to where Will is on the FD with Bootstrap.. Will says "I will come back for you, I will not abandon you...I PROMISE!" and there you have it, He said He PROMISES! It's the only promise he made in the whole movie!
Will now has a duty to his father, If Will didnt steel the the letters of marque and with held them with Honor, then Will is still an Honorble man (despite the stuff he does in AWE), so I Know that Will will realize that the only real promise he's made is to his father...so he's going to choose his Father!
When Will proposes to Liz, i think it's his desprate attempt to have both things even though he knows he cant!!!
