Well, we know where that takes place. They're on the way to world's end in that scene. In order to get to World's End, they have to get lost, so part of that is in a frozen ice land where it snows. He is essentially either the navigator (Chartman for those of you who've seen the clip from AWE) or the Captain on the journey to rescue Jack.

From what I've read and seen, he seems to be a redeemed man. From the two scripts, it seems like his nature has become similar to how Jack behaved in the first film. We're not really sure what team he's on, but he seems to be aligned with the side of good. However, I do believe he has a trick or two up his sleeve.
His whole goal in life, aside from saving the pirate world is quessentially wrapped up in stealing the Pearl away from Jack. So, while he's aligned with the side of right, there's a little angle in it for him. I do believe he succeeds in stealing the Pearl. This is based mostly on hunch and partly on his last line of DMC: "So tell me, what's become of my ship." The writers seem to be setting up Barbossa's character motivation.
Just off subject but i don't know if anyone noticed this but i was Potc CotBP and ya know when the line "Welcome to Port Royal, Mr Smith" is said. Were Ted and Terry dropping hints or something? I mean Jacks real name is Jack Smith. Coincidence? What do you guys think?

Did ya notice how sad Jacks face was when he was a crust? He looked proper heartbroken.
Not fun, but the writers never promised fun. They promised realistic romance and a bittersweet ending.
And nobody said that the fountain of youth isn't a metaphor for raising the child. If you think about it, eternal youth can be found in raising a child, even if it's not your own.
I'm not saying that I really LOVE that ending Chiki. If it were up to me, it'd be something corn ball, cheesy and ultra traditional.
Well, there's fanon Jack Sparrow and canon Jack Sparrow. Fanon Jack Sparrow has built it up that his happiness is dependent solely on whether he has Elizabeth at his side, either as a wife or lover...
Canon Jack Sparrow is more happy go lucky than that. Not that he isn't a deep, interesting character, but that's just how he is. There's nothing wrong with him not getting the girl and somehow still being fulfilled. 😄
If Barbossa steals the Pearl, then the end will be Jack Sparrow going after him, and maybe dropping by the island to check on Elizabeth occassionally while in a good-natured pursuit with Barbossa over the Pearl.
One has to wonder how often those two will steal the ship from the other...
Bittersweet for an end of the trilogy?
The third and last pirates, with a bittersweet ending. Writers never promised fun. If you want to know bittersweet I think the bittersweet is between Will and Elizabeth.
A sweet kiss between Will and Liz, honestly I don't know how she can kiss Will after devouring Jacks mouth. Sorry for the rather pervi expression.
Do we have to go the extremes? Either we have a very cheesy ending or a rather very, bitterweet ending.

Will has a destiny. I think he had that destiny ever since he made that sword for Norrington. They make a close up of the sword with James in AWE trailer and Davy is using that sword also.

Her marriege was doomed to begin with. Her dress drowning in the water, the wedding interrupted--and she mentions to Beckette "you robbed me off my wedding night." Fate intervenes.

Right now, people don't expect Jack excepting his life with Liz or as no longer a pirate in plundering and kidnapping and women all the time. They expect him the same position as CotBP. They expect him to shake it all off like a hound dog and move on with plundering and having sex with 102301283082 women with a number of them infected with STDS.

Good, I know we're all on board for this discussion...Now here is the hard part...thinking like the writers, not like fanfiction authors. I want to see real discussion on how it ends, not on how you envision Will falls overboard and dies or how Elizabeth hits Will and calls him a eunich...
Ok, so we're in the midst of a battle, and now Will, Jack and Elizabeth are a team. Jack is fighting with DJ, Will is on the deck with Elizabeth fighting, and they kiss for some reason.
1. Why do they kiss?
2. When does Will propose and how would it end up Elizabeth does not say yes?
3. Will ends up stabbing the heart. How and why?
4. Why does Elizabeth end up alone for a while, and what is she supposed to be watching over?
5. What causes Jack to decide that yes, he wants Elizabeth even though she killed him and kissed Will again?
Let's try these questions first, and see what happens. 😄 If anyone has any other questions to add in, feel free to do so. 😄

My first response is a kiss good bye. And why show the kiss in the trailer. I know it's out of order, but why then show Elizabeth saying "Now is not the best time." And suddenly show Jack fighting Davy? Why show a kiss in DMC as well with no J/E clues of a kiss 😉
Same with AWE.

When: Well, during the whirlpool..um...Jack fighting Davy...umm.. A huge battle scene. Probably the final battle. Most likely. I don't know about Liz's response to the proposal. Maybe it's a yes or a no *shrugs* Im not worried. But she is still making excuses as she did at the curiosity scene.

What causes Liz to kiss Jack? She is making excuses again saying that she did it to save Will. BS. Throughout the movie, Jack doesn't care. He had just about enough of the betrayels so he decides to take matter into his own hands to be immortal so he won't get killed again. After the experience he had with Liz, I figure that he just had about enough of him showing his good side and just to things by himself for himself. Teague gets in the way with Jack's decision. Jack will definitely learn something from all of this.
What bothers Jack is not the kiss, is the constant denial that Liz has and the BS excuses that she makes.
Maybe the writers did it because of that,but if they did i think it was too much.I think Lizzy realized that she needs an other kind of life.She is confused.She has to decide about her life.She could have a beautiful life with Will.She can see her life with him I'm sure.The problem is,as wise men say.'Don't marry someone whom you can emagine your life with,but marry the one without whom you can't imagine your life.'Is it Will orJack?That's the question.
