He can absorb "filtered" electricity. He has never been shown to absorb electricity straight from the sky. That said, he is limited in the amount of power he can handle. Magnetism is his primary power and he is limited here as well. When he was forced to absorb too much in "Magneto War", he nearly lost his life and his powers were reduced to practically nothing. They were burned out. He had to rely on Polaris to tap into the EM fields using her as a conduit.

Okay, Sienna Blaze can casually throw blasts that can sink half of Scottland Mainland. She has enough power to split the Earth like a ripe melon. Storm redirected her full power. Magneto is a joke compared to Sienna. This puts Storm well beyond Magneto. Stop getting desperate and just admit it.

Outdated statements are useless to me. I want a statement or panel proof that is more current than 1979 to prove that Ororo can claim that nothing lives that is not touched by a part of her.

The thing is, all of that is under Storm's control. Do you see what I am saying? Ororo can essentially control all of those forces on an unlimited scale.
The PF is the spark the ignited creation. While the PF is a part of all that is and all that is, is because of her, Ororo controls all of that. You can say that the two are equal. As long as there is a PF, Storm will always have power as the energies of the PF sustains Ororo's powers. Phoenix represents life. She is practically life incarnate. Storm's powers are derived from life energies itself. Ororo has a unity with this and it empowers her.

It was in Excalibur issue 72 or 73 where Sienna threw a blast a Nightcrawler that had "enough power to sink Muir Island along with Scotland Mainland with enough power left over to fry NC to a crisp."
I believe that was her second appearance. In her first appearance, the issue she battled Storm, it was stated that she had enough power to split the planet like a ripe melon. Unfortunately, I do not have these issues with me. I am an out-of-state student and the majority of my collection is home.
Oh yea, in case you are wondering, the reason that blast did not do all of that is because Rachel with the PF absorbed it before it could hit NC.

You are not right. Storm is automatically/innately attuned to it. That said, technically, a FP Storm and PF should not be able to hurt each other as they will only hit each other with powers/energies that make them stronger/sustain them. lol. They would have to try and absorb each other and see who has the stronger will to dominate.

Do you know that Stan said that Hulk should not give Thor a beating because he is a god, but it still gets depicted that way. Should I ignore those times it happends because Stan said so?

As of yet not equal. If I made a current Storm vs current PF, it would end up being PF winning.
I think it appropiate to say only one can have this role.

PF was born(essentially given life) and is also connected to it.
Ororo was born and is connected to lifeforces of the universe.
They both can do things on a HUGE scale via this connection to life.
They are equal, yet different
PF can eat stars, Storm can summon entire Glactic core millions and millions of Stars.
