My father gave me a few from his only comic book stash but I think the show and the comics came out at around the same time.

Snake-eyes can and had has run his blade through someones heart in the middle of combat with out causing and serious damage. Thats how insane his skills are. He is Batman x Captain America in skill, they guy is almost too much.
