I own the macth and DD was smacking any one around. IF was still giving him a run for his money and He was using style that was very different from his own.

Yes I understand that IF was using an unfamiliar style but IF was not giving him a run for his money because Danny knew he was gonna lose to DD unless he broke character and used his IF.

Yes because Danny was hired to act as Daredevil! By using his power, he is giving up his character disguise to Matt (who he thought was another DD imposter) that he isn't really Daredevil! Therefore, why would he use his power (and thus sacrifice his DD disguise) unless he was in a no win situation?

Also, this just shows that his victories come from using his powers and not actual MA skill. In a dojo fight with no weapons/powers, IF would get his ass handed to him every single time by Matt and Cap.

N.B. a "power" derived from what one would define as a "skill basis" such as chi amping, may be taken into consideration in the rankings.

Conversely I'm of the impression that "skill" derived from a "power basis" e.g. Spider-Man's heightened agility and dexterity, should be taken less into consideration.

I may need to rethink how I worded this because I'm not sure it makes sense entirely.

Isn't that pretty unfair tho X? That pretty much locks Danny in the top tier spot since he has the power equivilant of the Hulk compared with the other street levelers.

Generally the aforementioned was the idea or guideline, the ranking was a skill-based ranking, and anything skill-based could be taken into consideration, while power-based abilities were either ignored or their influence at least diminished. Individuals will of course have their own criteria which may adhere to this strictly or may only slightly, when they cast their votes.

If enough people think this is unfair, as you put it, then I'm certainly open to changing it - but it's worked so far...

I don't think it automatically locks him there though, as mentioned he can and has been beaten before, iirc. And at the end of the day it is consensus that builds the hierarchy, if enough people wanted to ignore any chi amping abilities that may be available to IF, they're welcome to in a vote proposed to moving him down.

I don't think so. I think the chi-amping should make him a lock for Top tier. the amount of skill and training required for chi-mastery in marvel and DC is amazing. And......

Nuff said. And that was before he got the Iron Fist technique. 😛

Let's not forget that DD vs. IF was a bloodlusted DD ambushing IF who was trying to use DDs style at the same time... that's a HUGE advantage for DD.

IF should stay in the top tier.

First off, DD didnt ambush IF. Secondly, IF was trying to use DD's style in ADDITION to his own style. If anything, that would be more of an advantage for IF.

I do agree that IF should stay in the top tier though.

-There's a lot of discussion about the top tier but no one is actually specifically proposing that someone in the current group be replaced by someone else, as far as I can tell. NB The character must be of the same comic company. The only proposition I've seen thus far is DP to replace IF, which has been defeated afaik.

I'm against Mar-vell to über tier.

Falcon needs to be moved up to at least 3rd tier.

He has taken it to anti-capt even though his stats were vastly below that of anti-capt's. He did this purely on skill alone.

Bran... for someone to be moved into that tier, someone of the same company must be moved down. So if you're proposing BP up, you should also propose someone to be supplanted.
