Actually there's a pressure point of some sort right on the side of the adam's apple. I think it's utilized in an art called "poison fist" or something. If I recall correctly it doesn't harm your breathing, but it pretty much knocks you on your ass.
Not saying the DD feat wasn't PIS though. But you know, the art can seem wonky at times.
There's the whole Chi aspect as well.

But why should someone be replaced when its simple enough just to add.
I still don't understand the reasoning.
For example. Tony Stark and Beast, one have never has to be moved down and one up. If they are actually equal then why swap them. It makes one lower than they should.
