A lot of people have a hard time understanding that it's not who beats who. What does it matter if Cap could give Batman a fight? Guy's running around with a shield. Reading backthrough allthe arguments, i can see the point of Batman being bumped up. It's the Ironman argument, and ok..you guys are right. If IM is where he is, gear based, then Batman & his resources could justify him being in the low meta catagory.

For Batman to Low Meta
AFTER Black Panther gets bumped up, no one DARE try to tell me that HE can't be once Batman gets inevitably - and justifiably - bumped up.
Then Daredevil to low meta, becuase he has an equilibrium equal to spider-mans, and his spacial awareness and radar sense allow him to operate at higher levels in confrontations than alot of others. He is also has some insane strength feats for someone not mystically enhanced through chi and such. Flipping the Limo comes to mind, he wasn't even in a life or death situation, no adreneline pumping, he just flipped it, from standing position..with 3 goons inside.
Followed by Elektra, and my reasons can be found in the respect thread,
because it's full of 1337 sauce. Not to mention she's psy-user. And has clearly operated at superhuman levels for a very long time.

Yes, they're arbitrary, but they aren't intended to give exact definitions of power. They provide handy words that people can reference to gauge general power. In that capacity, they work wonderfully. Clarification of them may be in order, but I don't think they need changed. The fact that it has created a semi-standard vocabulary for discussion on the forums is reason enough to keep them.

Lulz at people saying Batman's main threat is prep. Batman has made a career by taking out metas and punks alike while thinking on his feet. People who say otherwise either have an absurd hatred for the fictional character or just don't read the comic regularly. At least 90% of his feats are sans prep. 😂
And for the record, Batman has forensic, chemical analysis and combat equipment on him at all times. He's never without the gear he needs to stay alive. 🙄
