Why is Magus sub Skyfather? He beat Thanos much more convincingly then Odin did.

Wait a second...
He never actually did anything to Thanos, only knocked him down at the end of the fight...
Hell, he didn't even hurt him, and they traded blows for a while, but when Thanos got knocked down, the fight is ended?
"Now we see that life is truly stronger then Death!"
"Perhaps"
That doesn't sound like Thanos thought he could keep it up either. Magus had him beaten.
Thanos was written up high in those days... That's when he took out Warlock in a single blow, one-shotted thing and Thor at the same time and beat the shit out of Mar-Vell... And took out tens of thousadns of black knights.
Magus is definatly above Sub-Skyfather.

I've heard Thanos say things like this before... it hardly means he lost.
The only real indication that he lost, was when he got knocked to the floor, without a scrape...
Which, still hardly constitutes as a loss.
Keep in mind, I don't care if Magus was stronger, I just don't really see that as a loss, or would put him as a comparison towards the Odin fight.

About Warpath, classic version should be around high meta. IIRC, he was going H2H with Juggernaut for a while, and was stated to be around Colossus-level strength, with potential to reach Thor.Since then, however, he's been depowered, and is now significantly weaker, I believe.
No, he's stronger now actually. Stronger, faster and more skilled. He just lost his ability to fly, thanks to Brubaker. He was class 70 back then and now he's around 90.

Yeah, I tried to look up "Warpath strength class x-men" on Google and this bio claimed he was class 90 as an adult. Apparently Brubaker removed his flight since it didn't "make sense with his strength"
He can still run at superhuman speed and has superhuman senses though even without his flight.
Smurf is right, he has also stalemated Juggernaut for a time, Juggs even compared his punches to the shots he had taken from colossus.
Exodus was very impressed that he had withstood one of his attacks and hes also gone toe to toe with Blob, Frenzy, Strong Guy, Grizzly, Caliaban etc etc and held his own, in fact only Strong Guy took him down off that list and that was because he didn't realise that Guido was absorbing the force of his blows.
I think he deserves a bump, hes pretty underrated imo.

Agreed. What should he be bumped up to though?
If he had his knives I actually think he could've taken down Strong Guy. He's pretty skilled with them and they cut through pretty much everything.
Well both Tiger Shark and Namorita are mid meta, Warpath has stalemated Namorita and is easily in Tiger Sharks strength class.
So I think bumping him up one would be a fair apprasial of his abilities, hes superhumanly fast, has superhuman senses and class 90 strength and as you say hes skilled with his knives and a pretty good hand to hand combatant for a brick.

2 votes for Warpath to Mid meta?

Lets examine the ends of said fights. In the end of the Odin fight, Thanos got up and had not yeilded. He was prepared to go another round with Odin. But when he fought the Magus, he was flat on his ass and had admitted that the Magus's power was far greater then his own... Magus was basically created to be stronger then Thanos.
Thanos was scared of Magus, he said as much to Magus during there fight. He'd hoped to kill Warlock before he developped further, but later on he was said to be frightened of Warlocks power BEFORE he became the Magus. So I think Magus is a good deal above Thanos, I'd put him actualy in the Skyfather category.

Eh?
Did he admit he was scared here, or that his power was less?
Then the end of the fight.
Plus, I hardly call this, as even close to Thanos losing...
No, I was thinking of that combined with these two scans right here:

Combined with the Fact that Magus is far stronger and more versatile then Warlock, I think we can definatly say Magus>Thanos.

I thought Thanos was scared of Magus, and that he lost decisively, now we are bringing up Warlock only being able to beat him?
I really don't get the connection...
Considering it also has almost nothing to do with the actual fight.
Also, Thanos one punched Warlock... 😐
Originally posted by King KandyYa, but, you brought up Magus being more powerful than Warlock, as some sort of evidence, when Thanos crushed Warlock like nothing...
But he couldn't One-Punch MAgus... Because he's stronger then Warlock. If Thanos was frightened of Warlock, just imagine how Magus would handle him... Yeah, he'd probably put the smack-down on Thanos. Oh wait, he already did.
Thanos was scared of Plotlock, Chaos, and Order one...
He one shotted normal Warlock like nothing.
So, based on your logic, anyone who gets hit twice, with no known effects, or even any signs of injury, they gots teh smack-down put on dem?
