Imus appology for calling BF BB players nappy hos

Now, I've been around black people, who use the term nappy headed and hos...and this guy says a lot of things that are off the top, that's why he is so funny, but, b/c he is white and said "nappy" and "ho" when referring to blacks who say that about each other, he is in trouble. wow.

black people dont call all black people nappy headed....just those who are....nappy headed. to refer to an entire team as "nappy headed hos" is....racist. i guess if some black announcer called nascar a bunch of toothless rednecks you wouldnt be offended?

if he was a comedian, yes, as black comedians do say over the top things about whites, and he is a comedic commentator. black comedians on BET make jokes about whites are xyz all the time, and it's all in "good humor", and the white audience is right there laughing at it, no big deal, he has black friends, and probably heard blacks say that to each other, who knows.

Lol, Imus, we need to put this white man down, NOW!

yes or no. simple. yes? no? its pretty straight forward with no loading of the question, so no need to load the answer.

i can't see why it would be offensive since black comedians make "jokes" about whites ALL THE TIME, and it's OVER THE TOP, Imus's show is over the top.

i think the problem is that he has black friends, if he hadn't, he probably would feel strange to even comment on anything black, but since he was familiar, he made the comment. just like whites who were use to hearing blacks say ******, and then would get in fights when they used the term, if they were never around any blacks, they would only use the term when they really ment it, and if they aren't around any blacks, they probably won't use any offensive terms at all.

ok, lets try this again.

"yes i would be offended?" "no, it wouldnt concern me?"

i don't watch his show, i don't watch any of the "shock jocks", but i understand their nature, and he does have a comedic way, i don't see how we can have equality in "race" when these things are taken over the top. we all know these comedians are over the top, if you don't like them, DON'T WATCH THEM, SAME WITH PORN, TURN IT OFF, or don't get those channels. i bet they are going to get money off of this, playing on emotions.

Freedom!

imus is not a comedian or a shock jock. though he is outspoken and eccentric he is respected among the media and regularly interviews top political figures.

But that is common in comedy today; just watch the Daily Show.

no dah, but he has comedic value in what he says...and does apply a bit of "shock jock" to his progam and he is over the top at times, i watched his show maybe once or twice and caught a glimpse at his nature, no surprise he would say such a thing and his audience likes that part of him, he is full of surprises (not really, if you understand his nature, it's very predictable).

Well...what the hell ISNT racist these days?

(besides black-on-white racism of course..because that doesnt happen, ever)

ok, so you are purposly avoiding a simple question?

I think you are correct, you will never get an answer from her. So, should we close the thread? 😎

i didn't avoid it, i answered it, ask a better question and you'll get a more simplistic answer.

i know. they were able to get a lot of blacks emotional over this though, money to be made at the end of the day, i suppose, and someone losing their job over something blacks say A LOT.

questions dont get much simpler than the one i asked. well, besides "what time is it?" and "can you pass the salt?"
