questions dont get much simpler than the one i asked. well, besides "what time is it?" and "can you pass the salt?"

at this point, this is all egoism, so whatever.

if he was a comedian, yes, as black comedians do say over the top things about whites, and he is a comedic commentator. black comedians on BET make jokes about whites are xyz all the time, and it's all in "good humor", and the white audience is right there laughing at it, no big deal, he has black friends, and probably heard blacks say that to each other, who knows.

thing is, he isn't funny 😐

keep deluding yourself, only thing is everyone can see you are intentionally avoiding the question, which is the most childish thing you could possibly do in a discussion. i picture a 6-year old girl covering her ears and screaming "LALALALALALALALALALA". great contribution to this forum, you are 👆

You are right about that.

I listen to Imus for about 10 minutes of the ride to work every day. Him and Bernie (mostly Bernie) say stuff waaayyyyy worse than that, and about everyone, including politicians, everyday joes, and sports figures - not just one particular group of people.

Why wont they just ban her

black people dont call all black people nappy headed....just those who are....nappy headed. to refer to an entire team as "nappy headed hos" is....racist. i guess if some black announcer called nascar a bunch of toothless rednecks you wouldnt be offended?

really, they do in all the black communities i have lived in and around. what is the big GOD DAMN deal. Imus is a bithc for a appologizing. Im sick of having to have white guilt in this damn country. Black people should have guilt for being able to be more openly racist and get away with it.

That's kind of what I was thinking. This guy's been around forever and his whole gimmick has always been saying offensive shit. So, I can't imagine why anyone is making an issue of this particular situation.

Good post. It all wants to be said but if someone ever came out in public and said that they would be so Politically incorrect and deemed a racist it is insane.

This country is choked by PC.

sorry, thought my statement would have insinuated that i am completely against double stadards, white or black. Seeing how everyone is apart of a hip hop culture in some form or another in america. The Hip hop medium more often than not throws around terms like ho and nappy in an accepted way. An announcer of a sporting even should not be able to refer to the professionals they are observing and calling anything that may be durogatory. But seeing how the terms and jokes refering to country people as rednecks are thrown around as accepting as the terms nappy and ho are in certain black mediums i dont think there is anything wrong with refering to someone as a redneck or hick, infact it is something that is done openly on a wide scale. From late night talk shows, to political speakers, however, you never hear jay leno or conan obrien refering to a black person as having nappy hair in a harmless joke, but its ok and accepted when howard stern does it. Its even ok when howard stern calls a black person a niger, because black people accept him. If i were a redneck however, i wouldnt need to accept you for you to freely ridicule me as a redneck

I'm really gonna need you to prove each of those points.

i know, i heard his show one time and thought, wow, totally off the top, so, i wasn't a bit surprised that he would call a bunch of basket ball playing females a dyke or nappy headed (hos)...he's over the top, now, if he wasn't over the top about anything, and was mild mannered and very conservative, and just said "nappy ho", i would find that kinda out of character, and would wonder what provoked that comment.

most whites aren't going to defend a white person who is being called racist.

I've heard him several times, and not once did I find anything he said funny. Even Howard Stern is funny. But Imus isn't. At this point he's just a grouchy old man and comes across as such. There's nothing over the top about b*tching all the time and saying smug nasty comments.

Now, I've been around black people, who use the term nappy headed and hos...and this guy says a lot of things that are off the top, that's why he is so funny, but, b/c he is white and said "nappy" and "ho" when referring to blacks who say that about each other, he is in trouble. wow.
