Yes I do.

I am so sorry.

But...what do your feelings have to do with anything?

What a heartless thing to ask.

How does Buddhism allow a person to have power over their life? How does Buddhist practice help eliminate stress?

By learning how to take responsibility for all things in our lives we gain power over our lives. This is done through an on going Human Revolution.

I was not referring to myself, I was speaking generally.

I don’t get your point then.

I am saying that I don't care for fictional information in books.

So, you don’t like Christian mythology either?

You would think.

I don't believe you. I believe that you would find another excuse to discount the existence of God even if you had proof of God's existence.

The lecturer for the first link invites readers/listeners to ask him questions.

Oh puhleeze youre the one making bullsh1t excuses here; you and your fallacious Circular arguments for god's Existence.

Let me simplify this for you: It must first be shown that God exists BEFORE ANYTHING can be attributed to his "handiwork." In other words, we cannot assume god designed the universe and then turn around and use that assumption to prove god's existence.

And if youre planning to use the "Holy" Scriptures as reliable proof of god's existence, forget it: It must first be shown that God exists BEFORE ANYTHING can be attributed to his "handiwork." In other words, we cannot assume that the Bible is divinely inspired by god and then turn around and use that assumption to prove god's existence.

Remember, assuming something to be true that which has not yet been proven true is a logical fallacy but then since when did that deter religious fundies like you from spreading bullsh1ts.

All the really cool things about Christianity, can be found in Buddhism, but without all the negativity.

Translation: All the perks, minus the responsibility.

Hehehe

Actually what you have just said is an assumption. Why do you assume that today is one of my holy days?
It was Easter Sunday and are you not a Christian??? 😕

Sounds like a good assumption.

No. If I do something wrong, there is no forgiveness. I have to live with the Karma I create. So, Christians can go out and "sin' and then get forgiveness. Sounds the other way around to me.

I thought Calvinism from what I read back in school was more of a “if it feels good it must be OK” kind of religion; this was a while back so I could be wrong. I’ve never heard any of my Born Again friends refer to them self’s as Calvinist.

They believe in predetermination. There were a sub-sect in Calvinism that believed if they were predetermined, then they could do what ever they wished. I can't remember what they were called.

Every thing you do; every thought you have, builds your Karma. I bet you think that Karma only has to do with past life stuff.
