well, judging from the manifesto, it seemed like Cho had the same motives as the villain in SAW. people taking what they have for granted, and people do, but what he did was unforgiveable and flat out wrong. he said that Dylan and Harris were martyrs....yeah pyschopath.

Yes, from the little information available, clearly the motives can be summated with a simple reference to a fictional cancer patient who sets elaborate ironic traps and has a creepy mechanical puppet on a tricycle.

You forgot one thing.

He filled the balls with a funnel.

Since he seems to be clear of mind and planned this whole thing pretty well I'd say he's not a psychopath.

I figured someone would take that literally.....

i'm not really summing anything up actually, i'm just saying judging from the little video left, which actually is alot or at least a step in the right direction, his motive is SORT OF LIKE (just in cased you take this literally) like the guy in Saw, reason for the killing: people taking life for granted.

Governor Kaine has declared April 20th a statewide day of
mourning in the Commonwealth.

They have declared it a Orange and Maroon Effect Day to honor those killed.

Out of all the days I find it peculiar that they chose that day.

I'm thinking they're taking advantage of the situation and trying to get people to not take part in their normal April 20th Activities.

You make it sound like psychopaths aren't capable of thinking, but they are just as capable of planning things as much as you or I. Being psycho simply means he's unstable, and a nutcase.

Normal? Eric Harris has been identified as a bonafide psychopath. And Dylan Klebold was just a pathetic little boy who followed his lead.

But neither of them were considered mentally unstable (to my knowledge) unlike Cho.

In other words all three (including Cho) were practically idiots.

I'm not sure you'd call them idiots. Especially Cho. Sick, yes, he was horrible. But he did what he set out to do, he'll probably be the cause of more things to come. You never see the war in news anymore it's all these guys. So some psycho comes along who wants fame he sees how Cho became infamous he thinks here's an easy ticket to it.

Well there have been a number of bomb threats and school scares since it all happened.

Cops even had to come back the next morning to Virginia Tech, for some incident that ended up being nothing.

They were shouting for people to get off of the sidewalks and stuff.

One girl was crying.

Good t.v is not nothing.

Cho was a psychopath and sociopath. He was brilliant in a sense, not that I am condoning this by any means. They are saying that it is possible that he might have been molested as some point when he was a child, which exacerbated his mental instability

In what sense was he brilliant?

and finally it happens. the tool who says "He was brilliant in a sense".

...of course never explaining why.

He was brilliant to be able to evade suspicion for four years in a pretty tough school to excel in, as I understand it. Many people ask themselves how did he make it to senior year? He was extremely knowledge in the technology aspect of things. It was reported that in the manifesto, the way it was set up was pretty skilled. He had a very good working knowledge of how to manipulate what he needed to set this whole thing up. I mean obviously buying his time, trying to stay low under radar and avoiding suspicion when warranted. Plus one of his professors said that he was quite well versed in his creative art class/ just the stuff was too damn nightmarish.

What's brilliant about no one giving a **** to really find out what happened?
