"Your clone was surely destroyed with the factory, wasn`t he?"

There is the sound which is kinda like a wicker chair being drawn across a rock garden, completely ruining the arrangement.

The sound is caused by a wicker chair being drawn across the rock garden, until it is next to your cell.

The Oracle sits upon it and blows out a cloud of smoke. She then notes that you are watching her.

"Oh no, you people carry on," she says. "Don't let me bother you."

"I can only assume he and Jericho talked before that destruction. They had plenty of time. You don't have to believe me, though, I'm just telling you my thoughts. And I know I am no traitor. I'm wounded that you could so easily believe that of me."

"You....have decided to interfere?" -Melkor looks at her with mixture of hope and suspicion.

"Oh, I'm just here to watch. Quite a pickle you are in this time; no doubt about it."

"So what happens now? You die with the Matrix, don`t you?"

"Well, that would be a shame. Still, what am I to do about it?"

"Something? You are a very wise and important programme, I think. How well do you know Lo Qi?"

"He and I talk. He's a very well brought up person, is Lo Qi, and you can see how a programme designed to try and build the future is interested in talking to someone with some of my little talents."

"What do you think of his ideas regarding evolution and crisis point? At the end his ultimate solution wasn`t the one he was created for.'

"Well, I think Lo Qi has very eloquently described the problem of the Matrix. As I am sure you have now observed, he's not the only important programme to have developed... differences with the System about all that. See, the Matrix is much more than just a prison. In or out of it, it's the reality which defines the world. Some might say it's more important than the 'real' world. Of course, Lo Qi would say he is doing what he was created for. That's the problem when you build a Machine for a purpose, but then give it a free mind. What it thinks of its purpose might not be what you thought it was. I rather like that myself."

"And what is your personal opinion regarding the Matrix?"

"I think the most important thing to think about the Matrix is that it's going to stop existing soon, so it probably doesn't matter what I think. I suppose none of you are very happy."

"Well, it seems to me like it is soon
going to stop existing.....

And yes, dying people tend not be very happy, especially when they sacrifed their lives for wrong cause."

"Ah, now, there is a question. Still, what was your cause, Melkor? Was it just to destroy machines, or was it to free Humans? All Humans that can be freed, I think, deserve to be. Still, that's just me."

She exhales more smoke.

"Well, you kids are always getting into trouble. Azrael, Heph, you may remember what I told you last time. You always have a choice. That holds true for all of this as well. I'm never sure how much you folks listen of course, but let's see. I asked you all another question this time. I said you should think on it for a while. Well, it's been a while now. What do you think?"

"It is better to do the wrong thing for good intentions." If you make mistakes, you can learn. Intention is what matters.....even if we have made the terrible mistake with the Door.

My cause was to free humans, never to just destroy. Especially now, that I learned more about Machines, i don`t want to destroy them at all."

"I didn't say intentions, Melkor. I said reasons."

"Well, reasons are intentions having more basis in the facts, right? Well, opening the Door seemed reasonable considering our limited knowledge.....but it seems that we were foolish not to gather more information."

"I think we normally see that reasons give the basis for intentions. When you want to do something, yo have certain reasons for doing it."

"Well, we had some reasons for opening the Door, but now I see that it wasn`t enough. Our reasons weren`t strong enough, and now it is unlikely we can still save the situation."
