This made me laugh, so I had to share. No offense intended to any Terran players. 😛

Originally posted by RE: BlaxicanActually, they do. Had a diamond player pull that crap on my expansion, then hellion harrass me when I was forced to go roaches. Then when I had that countered and got the bunker down, he came into my base with a THOR, being repaired by SCV's, and I barely had an army, and I don't think I even had a lair yet. T_T Damn, man.
Bunker rushes never work, and I am offended by your video. ahah
Also, you don't count, be offended. estahuh Terran player. uhuh
Edit: BTW, finally got promoted, jumped straihgt to rank 7 platinum after doing about 1/3 against diamond players. 😄 I hope to be in diamond within the week.
I really really really hate playing as Zerg.
It's just too stupid. I don't like the build out scheme.
You can do a roach or zergling rush...and any Terran player worth a crap will easily destroy it.
However, IF I can get far enough in to a game, the funniest thing is to research burrowing and rapid heal for the roaches and pull into a base and tear it to pieces. It works even better to pull in an overlord and destroy the observers with some Mutes or Corruptors. (And pull out...... real quickie).
I saw a marine rush, for the first time. Dude lasted the first 2 or 3 attacks (twas a team battle) and he built out like 80 marines and 6 medvacs. It was hilarious!
A very early roach rush (with about 6-8 roaches) can straight out win games against a Terran who is unprepared. Mixed with some zerglings it's pretty hard to stop.
Also a baneling bust is very very powerful against a terran who is using primarily supply depots to wall in. Use the banelings to bust down the supply depots, and then just stream in 10-12 zerglings with the speed upgrade and send them straight to the mineral line. Banelings also melt whole armies of marines.
But yeah, I've started playing as Random and Zerg is definitely the weakest of the races, they have almost no room for error. On the flip side, Terran is stupidly simple and clearly overpowered. Though siege tanks are getting nerfed a bit in the coming patch which is good, it's probably not enough. Their tier 1 units are just too good. It's rather stupid that the other races have to use tier 2 or 3 units to counter the Terran's tier 1 bio ball.
Originally posted by BackFireI played random for awhile, and how forgiving it is... I cry. MULEs can DIAF.

Against Protoss early pressure is generally helpful, and always get a few hydralisks.

Originally posted by BackFireYeah, but they're currently the in thing for Terrans who want an easy win so I learned to get surrounds with lings pretty quick =P and I'm good at dividing them into two groups for when the reapers try ledge hop shenanigans. The most trouble I ever had was against a diamond player, and I still beat his reapers.. Then his Thors/SCV's OMG >_< I lost, FYI. 😛
You really didn't do badly at all. That one muta was a hero though.Mass reapers can be pretty tough to stop as zerg.
Thanks for the compliment btw 😄
K, so...like...
I pulled a phase canon rush against someone. It was both hilarious and extremely cheap.
In case you guys were wondering...it's where you build a pylon on the edge of someone's base and then, when it finishes, build a phase canon/s right inside their base. It works if you build it out of site. Then, when they go to leave the base, all of their forces are destroyed and you can build another pylon and build right inside their base. It works best if you build several canons out of site and then build further in. Cause, when they come in to destroy your pylon, there's 3 or 4 phase canons beating them down.
It's very lame but hilarious.
It leaves you very weak in your home base while you do this, though: you have to build out your shit quick.
Most people are used to building up a 3 or 4 buildings before they get pwned. Have you guys seen this? I saw it in a co-op game against the computer.

Yeah, cannon rushing isn't new. I wouldn't recommend it, any decent player will scout it and beat it. It's more annoying than anything else, not really a viable strategy though. It's more reliant on your opponent being shitty than anything else.
The plat player it worked against is a friend from school. He scouted, alright...but too late. He was counting on my being sh*tty and bunking (which I do, a lot...I like to turtle.)
He thought he could build out for a bit...which was mostly true.
I figure that by the time I can actually get to the other player's base, they should already have 2-3 zealots, 4 marines, or 6 lings.

Yeah it can work if the other person isn't prepared. It's just I've gotten so paranoid when I play against a protoss now that I scout really early, pretty much after my first Pylon, I've caught probably about a dozen people trying to sneak into my base to build cannons.
Wow. See even at high levels, bastards try to do cheap shit?
Also, do you have a counter to the "fly in cloaked with banshees" cheap attack?
It seems to work every single time I play...even against some of my gold friends.
They only counter i can think of is using marines or phase canons...but nothing if you're a zerg. However, there's nothing a terran can do unless they specifically built out units to detect cloaked units, early on. There's no time to counter 2 banshees that are cloaked about 5:30 into the game.
What does that massive strategy brain of your think about that cheapness, dude? I bet it's something obvious, again. 🙁
For Terran, a couple of well placed turrets will take care of an early banshee push. If you're afraid to leave your base because of cloaked banshees, a Raven with your main force will be helpful. Also an EMP on the banshees will drain their mana. Of course you can also use a scanner sweep to expose cloaked banshees as well.
The thing is if they are doing that banshee rush, they're going to be pretty vulnerable to a rush. Cloak for banshee is very expensive, especially early on. To get banshees cloaked that fast you're going to have to skimp on defenses and ground units, so if you see that they've got a very fast starport with a tech lab, just attack. That's why you see a lot of people do a very early push with maybe 3 or 4 units. Because if they're teching a push like that can flat out win the game, and if they aren't teching you just fall back. It's an effective way to scout and possibly do significant damage without much risk.
As Zerg you can probably get an overseer out just as banshees are coming in. If not, just get a spore crawler. Yeah, Zerg don't have as many options.
As toss it's not much of a problem, just an observer and a few stalkers will take care of the banshees until you can get a few cannons up. I always built a robo facility pretty early when I'm playing against terran and get an observer so it's not usually a problem.
Oh and yeah man, people cheese a high levels. Lot of protoss and terrans I play try to do proxy crap. Proxy gateways spamming zealots is very popular and powerful, and the reaper all in rush is pretty powerful too. Both of those are getting nerfed with the coming patch next week, though.
Patch is out.
As far as balancing goes, I feel like this did nothing. Nerfing the Zealot, which already sucks, and the ultralisk, which already sucks, and the tank, which is still good but isn't apart of the major problem, doesn't improve matters much, imo.
