Where's her been when she's not been around here then? You're well I hope.

What? 😑

Sorry, just wondered where you bean? I'm of the mind that we won't make 24 pages on this forum by my next birthday, July, so it's nice when a familiar voice shows up. It blows my mind that there will be 190,000 posts on this site (Pirates)--pretty amazing.

Potcfan, I don't think I ever told you, but your sig is my favorite willabeth sig. The tint of it makes it look so classic and it looks very good.

thx, but I din't make it.. Mrs.Fish did... I think mine might be the only willabeth sig..

BUMP

MmmmBop! Teehee!

"This is in response to a post by MizTigers and PiDiva at the Sparrobeth site and so as not to offend, by unintentional choice of words, I post here."

Parley? No really, Parley? So you can't harm the one until the negotiating is done...My request: Cessation of total disgust against Will.

Go to Lady Pirate's live journal stories, there's a new one up called Count of Three and it is stunning (okay, there is probably a better word for it I just don't have a clue right this moment what the heckydo it might be--find unsaid word and please report back). It sorta goes along with what y'all were expressing above and it definitely allows for some Sparro with the beth-ing. Some very definite congress and leverage, without Will passing from this world, er that world is the story.

Jack is who Jack is and I would be guilty of a big story if I said I'd ever refuse the man my company if he showed up at my door, stinkin' of rum and Not my perfume, 2:30 a.m., after the Faithful Bride had closed. I'd be guilty of another big story if I said I wouldn't look for him first on deck or dock.

I like, love, desire Will because without him Jack would still be sitting in the cell in Port Royal or worse yet, passed after a very short hempen jig. Now that is an inglorious way for a pirate of Jack's stature to have left that world. Will's family, pirates, even though he may not be your favorite brother, cousin, uncle......he's brethren, though not a lord--some measure of respect is accorded him by mar-ri-age to the King. Which brings me back to Lady Pirate's new story. I absolutely don't care for how who gets who, to do what with, except when Will Must Die becomes part of the story line. He's brethren--one of Ours.

Passion is a high heady Class 9 drug of choice for me. This is why Sparrabethers are so vastly appealing. Sparrabeth (passion) is pure, uncut, the pulsing of life in the vein. So, please accept this from me.....who loves who...matters not a fig to me, that one Loves to the best and truest of one's ability, that's what is vital!! It's an all caps kinda deal for me.

Lady Pirate has this one statement about Elisabeth, something to the effect that "she would never attract any man less for having been with another". That's the Elisabeth I dream of, proud and her own woman.

Yes, I post SparraBeth and I have my own choice of shippage, actually admitted to amongst some of these pages. It's in the loving what matters, not the who or even the when. Men have to be the first, women, well, we just want to be best and last.

Gals, Orlando Bloom was involved in a car crash after being chased by paparazzi. Two other ladies in their thirties were found in the car with him. Apparently on the same evening, he got into trouble with a bouncer at a nightclub over some woman. So, he's not gay after all, hehehe....

He's okay, though, and no drugs or alcohol were involved, so he's a good guy! And he accompanied his friends to the hospital. Paris and the other bimbos could learn a thing or two from him.

Well at least he's ALL male...

I didn't mean that. I meant that you hear so often these celebrities that get drunk and get careless. This doesn't seem Orlando at all. I'm complimenting him.

I know what you mean, Willo. I'm just saying that since he was found partying with female friends, I don't think he's gay as some rumours made him out to be.

With due respect to your admiration for Orlando, I feel that Orlando is not a saint. None of the celebrities are, anyway. Heck, not even Johnny.

No celebrity is a saint. There's a lot of things they do that I absolutely find disgusting. I try not to follow their personal lives much, but hearing that this was just your typical car accident was a little more refreshing than hearing he had to go to rehab or something for a problem. No, Johnny has some things I don't agree with at all and I don't know that much about Keira or Orlando, but I think you took my little observation to be more serious than it was meant to be.

Changing the subject, I have a question about the curse. (ANOTHER ONE?) Yeah, sorry. Okay, so by now most of us have heard that Liz's faithfulness frees Will after 10 years of ferrying the dead. Here's my question: back then, it was really common for women to die in childbirth. What if that had happened? On the one hand, she would have been faithful to him, but on the other hand, she's not there on his return. Would he have been freed had she died? Or somehow through his supernatural travels, would he have found her and just spent eternity on the Dutchman with her?

I tend to think he would be freed, because she stayed there for him, and her spirit would stay there for him, even if her body didn't. That's just my opinion though...

That's what I think, too. Just wanted to be clear.

There is soo much debate over te 10 year curse... they should have cleared that up in the movie...

Intent counts? That's interesting. PTB are so damn fickle--so thoughtless in their doings. I was so devastated over the separation, I couldn't even think--left the building, missed the last bit and felt crummy after I read on here or somewhere I should'a ought'a stayed put for a bit longer. When I saw it again, it did sorta take the sting away--but man, how just sucky.

'Cakes, I enjoy all y'all--but if I had to wait ten years to hear from y'all or write back myself.....my strength is the strength of ten because my heart is pure, but dad blame!!

Young Will still wouldn't be seeing his dad for, oh, about another solid 6 months if'n it were me--pack that child off to "Granddad Teague" or Uncle Jack, Tia Annamarie.....and let the catching up begin. I don't think much in the way of the world would be happening til I knew all the 'news' from Will--and I would certainly pray that he'd been keeping up with his yoga while he was on the Dutchman.

Oh, and in one of the fan fics I read it was naming the other names of the Ones--Elisabeth was named also, Beloved of the Ferryman . I thought that was one of the sweetest titles given her. In the movie, my excitement was piqued when Davy Jones looked at her and said "[B]Har-ri-den[/ B] ..." and he said, spitting it out it like he knew her and he knew how hell on wheels she could be, a slight bit of respect, but then again, the desire to crush anything that resembled joy from the world. "Harriden!" now there is a powerful word--

1700, "one that is half Whore, half Bawd" ["Dictionary of the Canting Crew"]; the other definition is a vicious woman, a scold.

I vote, Davy Jones' way of saying "Pirate" to Elisabeth--she is all that and a piece of eight.

I simply love the way she is all girly girl with Will--blushing, flirty, girl is a master of the deep sigh, longing glance, in PotC, I really thought she was going to place his hand upon her bosom when he was fixing her bandage. And then merciful beansoup--I really thought he was going gird up his loins and kiss her!! Yes I understand all the act one, act two stuff, but dadgum--I wanted Kissage and I wanted it NOW.

Yes, I know it's a Willobeth site, but....
The biggest turnoff about the kiss in PotC, is Will's tragically greasy hat hair. And he has great hair bones, and he just looked unwashed to me for some reason--although he did right nice in clasp, grasp, and pucker part, boy's a master at keeping his nose in the mix but not in the way.

The teensiest bit OT:

Did anybody notice that Elizabeth's hairstyle at the end segment (10 years later) is the same as it was on her wedding day, or at least very close?

Take a look:
