I wasnt the only one either. Oh and another thread you wanted to argue you with somebody about quoting somebodies elses work, eventhough he used italics wich meant he quoted it from somewhere else. Dont be an argumentative ****.

italics dont imply direct quotes. SOURCES/REFERENCES and QUOTES do

Yes but you could obvoulsy see he quoted it from somewhere else, therefore you could not accuse him of plagrism, and not suprisingly he put the quotes in afterwards.
hold on, you said that italics imply direct quoting, which is false in every concievable way. there is no 'obvious'.
without quotations and a reference it is, factually, plagiarism.
intended plagiarism? ill give him the benefit of the doubt and say 'probably not'. however nothing was implied. you can forgive what he did as an accident, but here you are trying to make it all seem like trite formality to reference and quote. well it isnt.

You shouldnt just use italics but you could obvously see he wasnt trying to pass the work as his own....and suprise, suprise he gave his sources afterwards.
The appropriate response should have been "were did you get that from?", not "dont plagrise other peoples work."
Originally posted by AlfheimBecause its such a hassle to copy and paste the url of the site you're copying and pasting from... Oh wait...

They shouldn't have to wonder where the person got the work. The default is that the words we post are our own. is it really that dificult to copy and paste urls?
Even if it was an incidental implied plagerism, its still an implied plagerism.
Now that he knows he has no excuse because of the interection I had with him and you about it. He knows better now.. so if he does it agian, it'll be taken as intentional.
