Hell, I went trough stuff much worse than a rape on the hands of my brother when I was young. Add a penis and remove the a little of the extreme violence and you got your classic brutal rape.

A rape is just your ordinary violence + a penis. A little while of pain and then its over.

Well there is more then just the little while of pain. There are kinds of rape out there where a penis is not really involved. There are the kinds of rape where the victim was violated with objects that after the brutalization is done the victim has several years of physical therapy to go through. There's more to rape then just nonconsentual vaginal penetration. It is a generalized word for a sexual violation of some kind.

In UK law, those aren't rape. Penis only. Rape is a crime, like murder. It's not a catch-all, otherwise you start getting into philosophy.
