That GL in Legion was Phenom. I've never seen him. But He was taking on the entire legion of villians and doing well. He was even shrugging off Superboy Prime's punches.
The legion has always been one of my favorite super teams. I suspect they will kill of many of the legion members and blend the remaining heroes into one legion. So we get all the diff versions of characters like XS working with like Dawnstar.

Geoff Johns (the same guy who wrote Superboy Prime punching through a wall of Green Lantern energy in Infinite Crisis, bust dimension walls, take both of the GLC/SC/JLA and such, only for a Guardian to sacrifice himself in order to BFR him) writing a single GL holding up against Mordru, several attacks from the Legion of Supervillains+Superboy Prime continuously punching the shield without breaking through (even going as far as asking Persuader to do it for him) further sustains my point.
But then again, he did it with Superboy aswell who put up a much better fight than he should have before he died, so it's not like it's anything new.
If Prime went around busting dimensions every time he threw a punch I'd agree. That isn't the case though.
In the old days (by old I mean pre-Johns), GL's could take all sorts of damaged unshielded and be totally fine. They've been neutered to the point where even I was surprised to see Rond not folding like a house of cards.
