I liked Loebs Superman/Batman.

Loeb has done some fantastic stuff and some terrible stuff. Same with Morrison In both cases they're more recent stuff hasn't been as good as their earlier work ✅

Where's the support, holmes?

YouTube video

Grant Morrison has never, ever, written a bad comic.

And that includes his run on Vampirella from the 80s.

see the seeds of reboot has already been sewn...see how nobody seems to remeber or didnt even know that billy batson was CM........WTF?

I .. enjoyed Loeb's Superman/Batman, to be honest.

Me, too.

Grant Morrison is a fantastic writer.

......overrated,but still heads and shoulders......and maybe thighs above most others.

That said,Final Crisis 7 was ass.It was only vaguely amusing when i reread and mentally inserted my own dialogue.

The whole point of Final Crisis was not for everyone to get amused/happy MM, it is a story about Ragnarok you know the end of the world... 😑

But it's fictional. Serious stuff like that can still be entertaining, and it wasn't. Even high-minded art entertains, or at least is beneficial to the reader/viewer/whatever because of some sort of theme, moral, literary device, etc. that is exciting to encounter. And personally, Ragnarok should be a helluva lot cooler in a comic, especially when they had years to plan for it and dozens of tie-ins to work with.

I think he meant that it was bad.....that it only became at the least...amusing when he added his own dialog.....do you really think MM did not know that..lol

And for a ragnarok story it failed miserably also 😉

Public Enemies was awesome. Just a story about Superman and Batman kicking unholy amounts of ass. Not everything needs to be complicated.

It wasn't entertaining to you Digi, it was to me and others as anyone who would want to read it would have to know much about DC history to put pieces together. I am taken back by what people really wanted in this it seems they wanted Apokolips to come to Earth and start a war with it, as if the war in the Fourth World wasn't much and Apokolips survived. If that happened Earth would have had 0 chance at winning and they barely won while the New Gods was incredibly weakened... 😕

Its funny how he's basically taken the premise of public enemies and applied it to every other comic he has written.

Superheroes kicking ass never gets old. The problem with Loeb is his ability to execute that premise correctly has fallen off the map.
