Also, the timeline of when Darkseid's operation started is hard to decipher. Especially as it seems he may have arranged his own victory in the "War in Heaven." The bullet was fired from a temporal sniper rifle. We know Darkseid was sent into the past. So, to dispose of Orion, he arranged for the bullet to take him out before the end of the War in Heaven, which makes the entire thing a temporal paradox.......and now my head hurts. doh

Is it me or did Dc just screwed up big time. DC had there chance too revitalize Darkseid and make him the bada$$ power house , but they didn't this Darkseid looked like strung out Darth Malak with knee braces, I mean 🤨.

FC to me was too damn confusing and all over the place with these tie in, which one is behind.

geoff Johs once again has to come in and save DC, again.

Johns will be our savior from this mess that Morrison has made.

In some ways I see Morrison kinda as smart version of Leob.

Not because comparing Loeb to Morisson is not entirely inappropriate, but the fact that you clearly have limited knowledge on both writers, consequently making manufactured "grapevine" criticisms, that only make sense to the ignorant and idiosyncratic. I recommend that you go out read the work of the authors in questions , come back and apologize for making such a retarded claim, which basically amounts to;

Everyone on this Forum disses J.Loeb, therefore he must be crap.
I don't like F.C., therefore Grant Morisson must be as bad as the forums depiction of Loeb.

I have read some stories from both writers. This is my opinion and its not because I heard or read it from the grapevine so please do not make that assumption. Futher more I said in some ways, not all. And I will not apologize for this, if you dont like this than oh well, dont read my post.

IMO its retarded as comparing Kubrick to Micheal Bay, because Eyes wide shut, wasn't upto Kubrick's normal standards.

They aren't aweful, but they aren't the masterpieces that people claim them to be. Mind you they dick all over other critically acclaimed work; Infinity Gauntlet, Secret Wars, COIE, Runaways, everything that Chris Claremont has ever written etc.

Hush bothered me because it was just like: "OH SHIT BRUCE! Here's some guy from your past that's never, ever been mentioned before, established in one issue, who's suddenly YOUR GREATEST ENEMY EVER!!" Then making an idiot out of Promotheus, which necessitated writing an entire freaking arc to retcon that... and the language was just imbecilic: "Dark, vengeful Gotham City. A city of darkness and vengeance. I AM THE NIGHT!"

Long Halloween was like Frank Miller, but only taken halfway so rather than being so absurd it's awesome, it was only idiotic. There were parts of it I enjoyed, but for the most part it was like Loeb just decided to write Year One: Part Two, and didn't bother to do anything creative or interesting with it.

imo:

Public Enemies was a really good read.

Return of Supergirl was wanky, sure, but not overly so.

Absolute Power (which i think he wrote as well) was a good read too.

His Superman from around the owaw time was pretty good, some of the best Superman stuff post crisis.

Loeb was a pretty well liked writer up until his own life went bad. After that, he seemed to lose it big time...

I .. enjoyed Loeb's Superman/Batman, to be honest.

Okay, yeah, to be fair Public Enemies was actually pretty good.

And you do have to give Loeb some leeway. The guy had it rough.
