Erm...if that's true, then the Darkseid in FC had half of the Source's power.
No he lost it in the battle with Orion but STILL had a back up plan to recreate reality with the ALE trying to get as many worshipers as possible to try to replace The Source.. Meaning Darkseid = major prep..

Did you get all this by reading between the lines (something I can't do when it comes to cosmic DCU) or is that stated somewhere I missed? Countdown? Seven Soldiers?
i know this topic garners a lot of discussion. some people loved it, some people hated it, etc.
one thing i really liked, was that in wishing for a happy ending, i get the impression bruce not being dead was a big part of that. clark wished for a literal happy ending, as the last page of the book was bruce still alive.

Really? When the Monitor said Kal wished for a 'happy ending,' I thought he was referring to the Asian massage kind of happy ending. My bad.

No I got it by reading Countdown, DTNG, Seven Soldiers, Revelations and FC. Morrison said he was patching things up from Countdown and DTNG to be in line with FC. The battles Superman saw was only avatars and what he could comprehend.

Morrison outright said the whole Source/ALE thing was BS in the pages of Secret Origin. He even said the entity was lying.
...What I was referring to was DS's power as shown in DOTNG, though. Half of the Source's power, right? Considering he was stalemating it, but using its own energies.

But that panel declares that it's impossible. The Source cannot be divided. That panel invalidates the entire Death of the New Gods storyline. 😬
Yeah...someone else was saying Morrison tied DOTNG into FC. I attempted to find some rational way in which he did, and you and SO just confirmed that really he did not.
Morrison has stressed that "something" happened, and that there was a "War in Heaven", but it's obvious Starlin's take on it is being completely ignored.
Personal Opinion: Good riddance. thumbsupdur
Also, the timeline of when Darkseid's operation started is hard to decipher. Especially as it seems he may have arranged his own victory in the "War in Heaven." The bullet was fired from a temporal sniper rifle. We know Darkseid was sent into the past. So, to dispose of Orion, he arranged for the bullet to take him out before the end of the War in Heaven, which makes the entire thing a temporal paradox.......and now my head hurts. doh
