Goku was getting thrashed by frieza and Goku end up witnessing his friend dying by the hands of frieza. He powered up to another level and stomped frieza because he was more powerful. Everything that I told you that he tanked, it was before his power up.
To answer your other question, no, the planet destroying blast didnt kill frieza, Goku defeated frieza but even after the planets destruction, he was still alive.

Well, honestly, I dont know how fast Superman amps since he tends to hold back. I never seen him amp while fighting someone without flying to the sun but I could be wrong.
Is there a instance of this happening.
And to answer your other question, the amp must be significantly high since the person that was stomping him was no longer a threat to him.

That was his first transformation; anytime after that he can transform with just a thought.
Do you have any showings of Superman amping instantly because I honestly think he just cut lose.
By the way, Superman and Goku has already fought and DC themselves allowed Wizard to publish this. At the end of the wizard magazine, some of the writers even comment on the fight (from DC). Even though its not cannon it is the best and only source that we can use for these two and again, DC ALLOWED and gave rights to the Goku vs Superman fight. By the way, Goku stomped him.
I agree, when Superman cut lose, too many cant stand in his way.
