Do you have any showings of Superman amping instantly because I honestly think he just cut lose.

By the way, Superman and Goku has already fought and DC themselves allowed Wizard to publish this. At the end of the wizard magazine, some of the writers even comment on the fight (from DC). Even though its not cannon it is the best and only source that we can use for these two and again, DC ALLOWED and gave rights to the Goku vs Superman fight. By the way, Goku stomped him.

I agree, when Superman cut lose, too many cant stand in his way.

ah.

semantics, imo.

scans? i find it hard to believe DC would ever sanction such a thing.

Notice how Carver makes up for lack of debating skills or proof by bringing in noncanon material (As in less canon than even the movies) in a futile attempt to make DBZ sound more impressive than they are.

Why would DC give a shit who Wizard thinks would win the fight?

Scans of what?

Wizard cannot publish a fight with a character, especially one of their mainstream characters, without getting approval from the source of that character.

Wizard does interviews with writers from each of the industries on feedback of the fights.

yes they can. they can say who they think would win all they like. they don't publish comic books.

Then that would be against the contract. They would have to get approval first before publishing anything; especially with them publishing it to millions of people.

not really. they're basically publishing a fanfic. they're not stating superman would beat goku or vice versa. they're just giving their opinion.

You do know that you cant do that unless you have license of the character right and wizard does not have any kind of power over Superman so there had to be an approval and again, writers at the end of the book agreed with it.

Solomon Grundy wants Carver to prove his claims too.

they're not publishing a comic book. they're publishing a fanfic. it's not the same thing. they talk about characters every month without getting express permission. a mock fight isn't any different.

what writers?

What contract? Does carver not know what parody is? Does he not know what fair useage is? This is really a pathetic attempt to get someone who can't even lift 40 tons in his base forms to appear to be a threat to Superman.

Honestly, I forgot the writers, its been YEARS since that fight was created.

I'm pretty sure that if I showed it to you, you still would discredit it.

i can disagree with something without discrediting it.

the fact remains, though, that wizard can say what they like. if they do a comic review and at the end say "but i think Thor would beat Sentry" they aren't going to get in trouble. it's the same principle.

you ever watch big bang theory? more than once they've argued over who would beat who in a fight, and you really think they get permission from dc and marvel for something like that?

it would be different if they started publishing actual comics with the characters in them.

To be fair that feat was an extreme low showing when compared to others.

Big bang theory is kind of different. Big Bang theory is like what me and you are doing, debating, wizard has an end to the battle, it is a winner and this winner is shown across the world. You cant get away with something like that unless you have some kind of power over that said character or approval. People can say and debate all they want about a character but once it is published, that is a completely different story.

Like the Venom vs Superman fight, of course its none canon but yet it was something that was decided and agreed upon by both companies, marvel and dc. Like the Thor vs Superman fight, a lot of people dont like what was shown (including me) but again, it was something that was decided and agreed upon by both companies.

Nothing can be published about a chracter without some kind of approval.

But it is what's stated on panel. Hell 40 is being generous since what was stated was lower.

wizard is not, nor will it ever be the authority though. it has as much influence and say as big bang does. it's published in a magazine. it's not affiliated with dc or marvel. it's not published by dc or marvel, therefore has no more authority than you or i. just because a million people might read it doesnt change a thing.

those were comics printed and approved by both companies. wizard isnt the same thing.

yes, it can. it happens all the time.

Creshosk, your hate against DBZ is known across the forum so what you EVER say about the character is thrown out of the window. Hell, look at your Superman Respect thread, look at how you started it off.

😆

Well Pr, it happened again, we are at a point where we disagree with each other with no outcome winner. The only thing I can say is that I'll try to find the scan of where the writers stated Goku>Superman.
