Yes, it was a planetoid and honestly, you really cant say WHO destroyed it because on panel, Drax has showings of ripping the core out of a sun and he also have planet destroying feats whereas Thanos, he does not have one planet destroying feat.

If you actually read the comic you would know that Zod and Superman both were connected to the planet, they were a part of it... that is why Superman told Lois to leave because he knew of this. So with every punch that was thrown on Zod it did damage to the planet (since again, Superman and Zod both were connected to the planet) and every punch that was thrown on Superman it destroyed the planet. Superman himself thought that he was not going to make it but he ended up leaving in time before the planet exploded.
There are more scans that you took out of content and I can tell that you really didnt read the stories BUUUUUT, I just wanted to point that out.

Didnt know, just wanted everyone to see it. I thought it was a good display of everyones ability when drawn on paper because honestly, you really NEVER see any of the people that was shown on that scene using their speed.
