all those 80's shows were half-hour commercials for the toys--and the toys kicked a ton of ass. (exosquad had really decent toys iirc)
nowadays, shows for boys in the 80's/early 90's like G.I. joe, transformers, ninja turtles, and cadillacs and dinosaurs are more expensive to make merchandise for, so they have a harder time making the kids want the toys since they won't be half as good as they are in the shows now. kids are moving on to other distractions (i'll touch on that later)
case in point, classic G.I. joes..... big as shit. later they scaled them down. transformers....die cast metal, more recently they are 99% plastic, the price of creating molds skyrocketed and now even plastic is more costly hence the limited production.
nothing is being made like it used to be, except tech stuff like cell phones and games, kids are neck deep in tech nowadays so that;s another obstacle in cartoon merchandising.

He's not all that impressive of a martial artist compared to Wonderwoman for instance. Massive combat speed? What makes them faster than Superman? After-images are overrated.

Buu can also regenerate after planetary scale explosions that obliterates entire planets to dust.
Buu can also teleport to anywhere of his choosing.

Person A can move faster than Person B can see.
Person C can move faster than Person A can see.
Person D can move faster than Person C can see.

Goku can move faster than Person F can see.
You do the math. But if you even thought about it rationally, its quite impressive.
And when I say "move", I don't mean just flying at full speed, they are fighting constantly at the same time.
Anyway, this is probably a waste of time. Most people are either Superman or DBZ fanboys which hates the other character no matter what. I happen to have great respect for both characters. Until recently, when I decided to watch the whole anime again due to nostalgia, I thought superman would win, but now I think its in the favor of DB fighters.
Also, one of the main powers of Saiyans that would warrant a high herald classification is their ability to improve substantially after each battle. Their power is potentially limitless. After a fight with someone like superman, even if you think Goku would get beaten up, he can just teleport away, recuperate and come back strong enough to win (or if not just repeat).
Zarbon vs Vegeta is a simple example. Vegeta was getting his ass kicked left right and center. After healing from that one fight, he could destroy Zarbon with one blast.
If people weren't so anti-DBZ they'd realize how powerful this ability really is, its definitely up there, maybe even Transcendent.

Actually yes he is.I'd almost put him in the cap/black panther category when it comes to MA.He was trained when he was 9 and competed in tons of martial arts tournaments winning most.
Compared to an all out superman not much.But like I said CIS on they have combat speed on par or faster then him as superman is an idiot and doesn't use speed that much.
Not entirely sure how an after image works but I think it makes him think hes hitting you.Could be effective.
