I'm going to have to agree that I cannot attribute a solar system destroying energy beam to cell.

He just says he's going to destroy the solar system, that doesn't mean he was going to one shot it.

No, Cell states that he is going to destroy the "ENTIRE!" Solar System. That's a one shot.

Superman can't handle Cell.

However that does not mean that his statement is completely empty.

if he did say that I think it is fair to assume that he is weilding some massive power. It is in Cell's character to explore his own power in a playful manner. In fact he does know his power he just chose to display it in increments.

The damn earth was crumbling under the clash between Cell and Gohan (Gohan was so scarred that the planet could crumble because of it). Namek (lightyears away from earth) FELT the power of the clash!!!!

That blast was going to nuke the Solar System.

He simply stated that he was going to destroy the solar system. There was no mention of him doing it in one shot.

That makes no sense since radiation shouldn't hurt supes, at best it should weaken him. But, to incenerate him?!

The "radiation" was actually entropy...since that is what the bomb was.

Now an enhanced Superman has taken entropy blasts before...however, being weakened...a 20 supernova powered blast of Entropy should take out just about anyone.

I have a question about this blast.

Was this a scenario where Cell shot a beam that he claimed would destory everything but it was stopped from hitting anything by one of the z warriors?

Are you going to provide any proof of such a blast?

It's already becoming trolling if no proof is presented and you completely ignore others (even fellow DBZ fans) statements.

It was Cell's final blast that was countered by Gohan's blast.

That much out pouring of energy Has to go somewhere as Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, only chennled or converted.

But supposedly it was enough to take out a solar system, matched and then overpowered by Gohan's Kamehameha. So supposedly he also had enough to "one-shot" the solar system.

So enough energy to destroy the solar system twice was released and the crater on earth wasn't that big, and certainly didn't destabilize the planet like the fight with freeza on Namek.

No, there is none, and if Cell said he could then he could. Period.

That's the argument I got when I challenged him to prove it in the "Perfect Cell Super Kamehameha Gauntlet thread."

What's worse is that when it was pointed out that in one of Odin's fights he was destroying galaxies, Phenomenol retorted with "That took place in a pocket dimension." "It was metaphorical." and "It was hyperbole."

Even though it was pointed out that Strange confirmed the galaxies weren't there later on.

Phenomenol is like the DBZ equivilent of 2damnloud or the way that Wolverine8888 used to be.

The only way a member of the Z-senshi can destroy a planet is by detonating it's core. Which is why they have to concentrate there Ki into one point and Aim towards the planet.

Cell's blast was COUNTERED by a more powerful blast. How in the hell could you see it destroy the Solar System? 🙄

Nothing was confirmed in that pocket Dimesnion of Odin's either.

Yup. The event on namek always lead me to speculate that there was something more going on with the whole planet busting thing.

One theory I came up with is that based off of a more eastern philosophy chi/ki/xi/qi is in all things and in essence the planet is alive. So it was like shooting it with a bullet which caused it to self destruct. Because Freeza's attack did not destroy the planet instantly even though the wounded was fatal.

Which shot out into space and the solar system was fine 😐

Yep, because it is a comic book. Whenever galactus gets his ass balsted I don't see half of the universe being destroyed. 🙄

More than just that, the law of conservation of Energy states that energy cannot be created nor destroyed. So as it was being "countered" this massive amount of energy had to go somewhere. It can't simply just cease to be.

So where did the energy go while they had their power struggle?

It wasn't even enough to scar deep enough in the earth to strike lava.

There was minimal scarring done to the planet, nothing done when it was rleased out into space.

There is no logical explination as to where all that energy went.

Especially considering the voitile nature of Chi in DBZ. You fire a blast at someone that's really strong, the defender slaps it away and then boom, it explodes into a mushroom cloud.

WTF? Why would you apply HEAVY ass physics to a comic book?

It is beyond me why you would do such a thing to Dragonball.

With your logic, I should always see Hulk and Juggernaut Knock the damn planet off it's axis whenever they throw down, right? 🙄

Superman's got Cell beat in speed and physical strength. This fight could last a while considering Cell has an excellent healing factor. On the other hand though, Superman could win easily by freezing Cell or flying him into the sun.

Yes. I saw the scans and his reponse towards them.

A lot of his posts have been edited by mods. When that type of thing happens...it should be a clue to debating habits.
