Meh. Now that we know Ridley's not playable, I'm not really lookin' forward to playing on his Norfair stage as much as I was before. 😬 Since Sakurai obviously didn't want him playable for whatever reason (regardless of all the support Ridley got), it would've been nice IMO if Ridley had at least been included as part of the Norfair stage, where he would wreck havoc on it every once in awhile or somethin' (just to annoy the players). xd

Well, at least Sakurai did a good job on the Meta-Ridley design, but I still think they could've done better with regular Ridley's appearance.
For some reason, I find regular Ridley's appearance from the Melee intro to be more appealing than this one, but that's just me.
Of course needless to say, if Ridley had been playable, his design probably would've been much more detailed than this...
