Originally posted by Classic NESMy point is that SFII doesn't have a decent story now. You don't know what happen to Sagat, Balrog, Vega and er body else who was in SFII. Capcom basically dropped the II cast for no reason accordin to the SF story, anyway. You have no idea what happened to er body after that game execpt for the vets that return in III.
The Majority of Street Fighter Alpha 3 plot borrowed idea's from the the Street Fighter animated movie which in turn borrowed from Street Fighter II. The plot lacked detail, many characters plot-wise were written out or had inconlusive plots: Gen, Gouki, Adon, Birdie, etc. Sure there were detailed fights, but it didn't really mean as much as say Alpha 2 since all of them randomly revolved around Bison. It's like the writers ra of material and stuck Bison as the antagonist of every character. The good plot points like: Nash and Roses death were planned since Alpha 2. Also, the game retconned Street Fighter II plot. Alpha 3 was not written with Street fighter II in mind. The only things I liked about Alpha 3 are : Cody, Karin, R. Mika and Blanka being playable.
Balrog's my ace and I wanna know why he aint in SFIII.

List of Bad Street fighters:Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers-Speed was toned down from Hyper Fighting, Stupid glitches [Zangiefs SPD reversal glitch] and Capcom pretty much admitting the game was rushed.
Originally posted by Classic NESI wouldn't even count that as a legitimate SF game.
Street Fighter The Movie game- No explanation needed
Originally posted by Classic NESAlpha 3 is the shit, yo. I don't know any body who likes 2d fighters and doesn't dig Alpha 3. When the game 1st came out I think it was EGM that said it was the best fightin game ever and at that time games like Tekken, VF, and DOA were on the scene.
Street Fighter Alpha 3- Not really terrible, but the game has balance issues.
Originally posted by Classic NESYou expected it to be 2D and so did I but I realize that there is no place for 2D fighters on the main stream game market anymore. I don't know if y'all realize it or not but it costs to make video games and even games like SF need to make money for the company.
Maybe, but I doubt it will be what I expected after all those years of Street fighter being on hiatus.
It's like er body is expectin some kind of charity for the SF fans...Aint gonna happen and if I was in charge, I'd do the same thing. Just cuz it's 3D doesn't mean it's gonna suck, again, look at RS and PJ.

Exactly.
Originally posted by Classic NESWell, I really aint got into it like that, I didn't attempt to customize anything or do all that extra shit, my mans gots the game, I just played his. I'm just basin my views off game play experience, which I found to be very entertainin.
I disagree, DMC4 was half the game DMC3 was with a new playable character.-The Difficulty was toned down, though the enemies aren't punching bags like in 3.
-Less Devil arms and the ones they do have are rrehashes or plain suck [Lucifer and Gilgamesh]. Pandora's box is like the only one that's worth it.
-Dante sucked, since Capcom simply Copy & Pasted Vergils moves onto Dante and gave him a slight new abilities.
-Lame toggle system for weapons [ You have to go through all your weapons as opposed to customisizing your weapon inventory and toggling between the two.]
Etc.
There is a fair amount of disappointment for me. This is not all what I expected SF to be. I was expecting this game to have some damn good Guilty Gear like graphics or Capcoms new promising fighter Sengoku Basara X...but it's not. Another thing that's got me real disappointed is the fact that it's not at all SFIV, it's like SFII and a half or Perfect SFII(by the story line anyway). What the F##k is you problem Capcom, you've done nothing but churn out hits since the debut of the next gen systems, and you go and do this? I'm a bit angry but...
The only thing I see that's really "bad' about this game is that it's another prequel. They have got new graphics, not at all what I expected but not at all a bad (I like how the chi looks, real shinny and flashy) or even a bad idea. I haven't really heard much music to judge. I've seen some nice looking new characters and I heard that they were bringing some Alpha characters back on the console version. I'm sure that there will be new stages as well. And most importantly they say it will play like SF but it does have new tweaks and a brand new system. (Dumb ass idea to drop parrying though)
Honestly, this game is mostly new, the only thing holding it back is the fact that it's a devolution in the SF saga. This game is not at all what I expected but that doesn't mean I wont like it. I'm not gonna take my anger out on the game and not buy it and end up passing up a fighter I may enjoy. Before I just straight up dis this game, I'll wait for it to come out 1st. SF of all games deserves a chance, IMO.
