I thought it was pretty decent. I haven't played the console version, but it's supposed to be the same just with better graphics, higher resolution settings and a few new "artwork" styles(Ink, Posterization, etc.).

It constantly runs at 60fps(same as consoles/arcade) on my PC with literally all the settings maxed out(including AA/AF) at 1680x1050.

EDIT: Here's a pic of my SF4 benchmark:

how on earth did you manage that? your spec looks insane.

By "it's" I meant the PC version there.

Yes, those specs are pretty good. I built my PC for high-end gaming.

if you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost?

I bought it some good 6 months ago, but in my country, prices of electronics(especially PC electronics) are quite inflated.

In US dollars: about 2000$. I'm sure you could get a rig like this for much less nowadays, especially if you don't live in a backwater shithole of a country.

ah, lol...

so let me get this straight, you've got...

1gb graphics
3gb ram thereabouts
core duo? @ 2.67

is that right?

Honda's starting to catch fire here...my goodness, even Ryu has difficulties with him, due to the fact that the projectile game is nerfed, allowing Honda better options of getting in. The lp. shoryuken almost always loses out to Sumo splash unless you do it late, both at the sametime and you'll get stuffed automatically, yet somehow c.fp will beat that out. What annoys me the most is the regular AA of Ryu, the priority annoys me completely which gets stuffed out by Honda quite a lot. The worse case for me is the c.fk sweep of Ryu, that used to be a huge bread and butter in SFII for stuffing Honda jump ins...however it loses out almost all the time due to it's lack of range and again priority.

All these together accumulate this match up to actually now be fairly close to even. Ryu still has the slight edge, due to a few a other options Ryu has, and the ability to land the threat of his Metsu-Hadouken for an Ultra. However, it's definitely a more annoying match up now, maybe not as bad as the Ryu vs Honda in CvS2 (RC ='s Pain for Ryu against Honda in here).

I'm starting to see why people are saying Honda is as solid as he is, the dude just straight up has strong options now. His Ultra may not be combo-friendly like Ryu's however I simply put my projectiles on hold whenever I see that light up. Honda doesn't entirely rely upon shenanigans anymore, and actually has good setups and moves, making him very good. I contest he's definitely up in the top now, imo, the more he obtains his potential, he'll be no less then Upper-Tier at the absolute worse.

Btw, Blanka has lost alot of fire, the dude, like I said earlier, he's a strong character only if you don't know how to deal with his shenanegans, however once you can pick those up...he gets hurt very badly. It's no different then ST. Blanka...if you can't fight his mixups and what not, you'll flat out get destroyed. However if you know his options and know it accordingly, you'll spank him very badly. SF:IV Blanka is much like this, for during the early parts of this games life, nobody can really deal with Blanka's options and simply saw him dominate far more, however it's alot more harder now, and you have to play really solidly to make him a serious threat.

Either or, this games sweet, I now have it on my pc, however I need to upgrade my pc, because I'm lowering the qualities quite a bit, lol, just to play it without any problems, hahahaha. I will say this, playing on the PC controller is complete and utter garbage, because I have trouble even doing FADCxxUltra with Ryu on that blasted annoying D-Pad...I need to find and buy that cord to where I can put my PS3 controller on there or something.

I actually have 4GB of RAM, but it's limited by a 32-bit operating system. Can't be arsed to change to a 64-bit now.

That's actually the newest Quad Core from Intel based on Nehalem microarchitechture. I have it overclocked @ 3.00, but the benchmark doesn't show that.

ah, i actually recently upgraded to a 64 myself...

a quad core at 2.6 is still an animal of a processor, so i wouldn't worry lol...

your pc must straight up point and laugh at some so-called "high spec" games.

Hehe, pretty much. Though I must admit that I haven't played any "high spec" games lately. Ran out of decent "high spec" games to play almost right after I bought this beastie. I guess that time makes fools of us all.

Well, I'm waiting on the PC version of Resident Evil 5 now. It looks pretty "high spec" from the benchmark.

Yeah. http://www.fileshack.com/file.x/14772/Resident+Evil+5+Benchmark+Version

You can find it on other websites too, I'm sure.

What are your specs, by the way?

my specs. geez, one sec lol...

64 bit vista ultimate.
core duo @ 2.5
4gb ram

i can never figure out what memory my graphics card has. dxdiag doesn't help one bit.

also, even when i check on say www.canirunit.com, i get told i can run games, even if they barely work on my system. might be vista being a cow though.

i wish i knew how to fool around with such things, maybe get my graphics running a little hotter.

Tell me the model, maybe I'll know.

It's an Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT

It can either be 128MB, 256MB or 512MB, but since it only has a Bus width of 128bit in addition to other gimped specs, anything above 256MB is highly redundant in the vast majority of situations.

EDIT: Oh yeah, by the way, you can always download GPU-Z if you want to know for sure.

got the gpu-z thingie. apparently i'm running a 256mb. balls.

got the RE5 benchmark. i can run it, but only on some of the lower settings. and i mean LOW. i'd be better off buying a 360. i doubt i can upgrade my laptop for the same price.

No sweat. The 512MB version would have only netted you absolutely minuscule performance increases in only specific games, settings and situations.

Yea, laptops are like that. I guess it would be a prudent decision to just get a XB360 in your situation.
