so whats so special about mid-90's goku? are you referring to gt? i really don't think you want to bring that crap into this. what has any form of goku ever done that puts him even remotely close to supes in any way? also, just to be sure you actually know anything about dbz, you are aware that goku isn't even the strongest non-fused character right? supes would crush anybody in dbz.

No, I was talking about standard Goku, end of Dragonball Manga against Superman in the 90s...lets say that time he got his ass kicked by Doomsday (there's really nothing Doomsday did or could do Goku couldn't do easily)

whats with the name calling? did you suddenly go through a time warp where its mature to call people names all of a sudden? good to know. i'm still surprised that a poster who seems intelligent thinks that just because someone has a character in his name, he must know everything about the property. yes, bardock may know what he's talking about, but i've never seen him post before to my recollection, and as i've said before, i've seen PLENTY of people with dbz related names who's knowledge doesn't extent beyond the dub.
To clarify, I know as good as nothing about DBZ or GT. I read the Mangas, watched most of the DB animes (cause they were excellent), watched a few of the DBZ Animes (cause they sucked really, really bad) and I didn't get around to watch GT, though I plan to do so some time, my love for DB has decreased in the last few years. On top of that I did all that in German (in case you'd like to object).
I was just bringing up the mid nineties Superman for two reasons, one that I know most of my shit about him and two, because in an earlier Goku vs. Superman debate dvampire, Darth Janus and Creshosk convinced me that Superman could indeed beat Goku, which I didn't believe at first, seeing as I only knew Superman from 1993-98 and some JLA beyond that and wasn't aware of the exponential growth in power he went through after that back to Pre-Crisis or stronger. Also, as a fan of DB I always heard the "DB Characters are soooo overpowered" thing every one was throwing out earlier, I guess they don't do that anymore.
thanks bardock. sorry to question your knowledge, its just i've seen so many people with dbz names who know nothing about dragonball, not necessarily on this board. its good to see that you are open minded enough to agree that supes nowadays would beat goku. while i think that supes in 93-98 would also beat goku, we can agree to disagree.
also, i know where you're coming from as far as your love of db decreasing. mine has as well. i used to be a huge db fan, i read all the manga, saw every movie, watched the whole anime, bought all the ps2 games, etc. now though, i find myself caring less and less about dbz. i haven't bought a dbz game since budakai 3.
