You probably don't care... but...Thanos with cosmic fists... he's the only one to ever do this... 😐
Surfer was cut off from the Power Cosmic, was apologizing, and was cheapshotted... and got up a page or so later without a scratch.
Mcduffie... I really don't see why you would bring that up to anyone... he's the same guy who made Dr Light basically one shot Superman...
Drax with the PG... and all he did was redirect Surfer's momentum. Nothing more, nothing less.
Drax was pissed, and manipulated by Thanos, and he didn't even effect Surfer...
---
Also, I see you brought up Blood and Thunder... Blood and Thunder is some serious crap writing (with anything involving Thor at least). This is the same series where Thor goes from having some trouble with Ares and Pluto, to absolutely demolishing Surfer and Warlock, and the IW/Strange/Surfer...
Also, the heroes were holding back a little to help save Thor... if you don't buy the crap writing (which, I can't see how anyone wouldn't see the shit in that writing). Also, apparently Thor's mind is powerful enough to repel Odin... Err...
Context for the win.

The point wasn't what happened in the comics, just that fact that it's consistantly shown that when he's met with overbearing physical force akin to Superman, he can be overwhelmed in CQC. And Superman has certainly shown the speed required to keep up with Surfer, making CQC a viable option.I've already said earlier that Silver Surfer has the tools to defeat Superman, but Superman certainly has the tools to beat Surfer as well. I'm not the one here having trouble accepting the truth.
It was more a shot at the purists who believe Superman has no shot in this encounter, sort of like the guy I replied to who seemed to suggest Surfer wouldn't even be troubled with a guy like him.
Hence - What can Superman possibly do to Silver Surfer?
Truth is, Superman gives pretty much everyone trouble.
Doesn't matter. Gladiator doesn't fight mostly anyone at superspeed.
Colossus and many others was able to go toe to toe with with for awhile.
Doesn't mean that Colossus and the others has the reactions the Superman now does it.
I say that Superman has at least a 50% of koeing SS from the bell through a determined speedblitz. So I will be humble and except a split here. Is this okay?

Hey, man - you don't need his acceptance of your opinion. Thats one of the great things about opinions. No one need agree on them.
Stick to your guns - show some resolve.
I mean, I support the Surfer in this match, but it's nice to see someone trying to approach it from another angle.
The Red Solar energy Surfer emits probably won't be enough to lower Superman enough for him to get the win.
Especially considering he's going to have to immediatly recognize that Kryptonite won't work on him then switch it up (unless he's hitting Superman with both at the same time, a tactic we know Surfer is not smart enough to devise).
