Surfer going through suns is as relevant as Superman going through suns. Both are powered by starlight. In fact Superman has taken on suns that don't power him and was just fine. HV can still blast a hole in his body. To think Surfer can just take it is foolish.

Precisely. All you have to do is look at that horrible fan-voted DC Marvel crossover from many years ago to prove that the majority opinion doesn't really prove anything.
