Doesn't matter, Thor was completely kicking ass in that story and the wound didn't effect him, it just wouldn't heal.

So googling scans, eh?

[B]The Mighty Thor #1:

"It glows rather than bleeds Sif. What nature of wound is this?"

The Mighty Thor #2:

"You're hurt. You're hurting. You're in pain. You're distracted, you're..."

The Mighty Thor #3:

"Your wound, Thor. 'Tis worse. And Weirder."

The Mighty Thor #5:

"'Tis a wound in my gut, it grows, and it hurts like Hel."

The wound was growing inside him and weakening him further.

Funny how that works, eh?

lmao surfer got his shit pushed in by a random mexican guy with a hammer. surfer has a weakness to tools so its natural that thor owns him but, if this is the magic invincible cbr surfer than superman loses, if its the surfer that we have reada nd potrayed as in 70 percent of his showing than supes takes it.

This requires a Surfer that clearly goes against his standard portrayals. A standard that you routinely point out to neuter Superman's abilities when brought up in debates.

Fighting solar or energy powered beings like the Hulk? Superman and the Hulk are closer than many people may believe. We know how the Surfer deals with the Hulk, he simply cuts him off from his power source. He would do the same to Superman, and Superman is not immune to being drained, or having his energy manipulated, or exploited. I have no idea why people continue to bring up Thor? Thor has nothing at all in common with Superman. A fight between Superman and the Surfer would end as quickly as Doom's fight against Nefaria did. So again, this is Surfer's fight to lose.

LMAO, and what point to you THINK you have proven? Being in pain or discomfort does not mean one is weakened, and even if weakened, it can't be cited as the cause of why he didn't knock Surfer out, assuming that was his intention in the first place. They fought several times genius, was he weakened every time he didn't one shot Surfer? What foolishness....

Exactly!! It's the matchup itself.

Superman has demonstrated not only a resistance to being drained but also not diminishing in power while simultaneously being bombarded by red solar radiation.

The Hulk and Nefaria have never demonstrated anything comprable.

Before, Carver, comes in a norma; "Unamped" Hulk has never displayed resistance on the level of Superman.

I find his reasoning to be sound.

Hammer wielded by a Mexican > Mjolnir

People bring up Thor because they ignore the fact Thor wields a powerful magic hammer and thus think anyone Thor can defeat Superman can defeat. I know I don't get it either.

He has done it to Hulk twice, once to gain his gamma energy to escape Galactus barrier and once trying to cure him. That's not standard tactic for him considering he has fought much more energy beings and rarely if ever absorbed their energies.

And Hulk and Superman are pretty different especially savage hulk. Superman has actually resisted his energies getting manipulated several times.

Because being in pain and wounded means characters are not at peak conditions.

When have they fought several times? Can you remind me?

How does hitting someone very hard with a hammer is "plot device"? Do you think Superman can't hit hard or something?

If Thor had used some actual plot device you may have a point, ignoring the fight because" hey plot device hammer" is just that, ignoring the fight.

Peak conditions? The only question is how hard was he capable of striking. That isn't in question, just as Null.

Oh please, you'll be calling it a plot device the next time it can benefit your argument.
