An atmosphere has nothing to do with traveling at lightspeed. Nothing with mass can be propelled to lightspeed.

Gladiator's powers are a result of his biology.

If having solar energy absorbing cells gives you superpowers,plants should rule the Earth should be kick ass.

He can traverse every inch of the planet in a second. Never seen him go millions of times faster than light on Earth, but that doesn't mean that he cannot.

Travelling speed and fighting speed are 2 different things. Especially when you rely on a surfboard for transportation.
