OK, saw this, and it wasn't really a remake at all.
I really liked what they did for Jason himself, he was very badass, and it almost seemed like he had some attitude.
What I didn't like, was that it was such a cliche teenager movie, with only humor about sex and drugs. Got old, very quickly. But then again, I guess that's what the original movie(s) were like too. I was glad to see the characters get killed, because they were so damn annoying. I really only wanted one of them to survive.

It seemed like a combine of the first three movies to me. The lack of Jasons theme irked me but I still liked the movie. Jason got smarter.
To bad who I wanted to live died though.
I saw it last night and i liked it. Especially with how it started. The story was your typical Jason Storyr generally, but a good waste of time nonetheless. The funniest part was when that tough guy preppy boy had a scream-queen type of yell after that body landed on his car.
I love that Jason is fast as hell. He also looks a bit taller and leaner.
He's definetely developed a more cognative hunting prowess as well. Using sports-grade hunting bow & arrows with pin point accuracy, and the way he threw that ax just seemed so olympic. He would run, turn the torso, and skip then side step, stop dead in his tracks and just lauch that ax overhead with all his terrific might.
There was this one part towards the end of the movie with how he took out his machete. man o man. I think he heard a twig snap or one of the kids make a noise from afar while in that mine shaft and he quickly turned his head in the directions noise, and quickly pulled out his machete half way (which was sheathed on his left side) with his right hand, quickly turning the handle, and then completely pulling it out with the left hand just so methodically. It seemed almost stylishly samurai-like with the way he did it.
This Jason was definetely the best performing Jason in the series. I don't think even Hodder would pull of the great stuff Jason was doing in this movie.
And the movie poster is the best "F-13th" movie poster i've ever seen.
9/10. i think it's the best film outta the series..

Seems more like a remake of part 2 tbh 😬 Did the one you want to survive...well...survive? I know who survived myself but I won't say who and I won't say how many cause that might ruin it for everyone else who wants to see it
Spoiler:
Yeah, the brother survived, and I was happy about that. He was the only character that wasn't completely f*ckin' stupid. I would have been happy if the sister died too, but she really didn't.
I thoroughly enjoyed this...

One thing I absolutely HATED about this movie was that they implied he had a sister. What is this, the Halloween Remake? Jesus Christ.
even though that is implied, I think she just said that to get Jason's attention which she succeeded in doing...
