Jason ran in the 2nd movie before or one of the movies anyway so it didn't bother me.
Part 2, he ran across the road although kinda looked like he jumped as well...in part 3 I believe he ran at the end in the dream sequence of the last survivor but I'm not 100% sure on that
I thought this movie was amazing. I went to see it opening day and was blown away by how good it was. I had been following the film since it was first announced and wasn't sure how it'd turn out, but by me being a newb to the Jason mythos, I figured I'd check it out either way. It turned out a lot better than I had envisioned.
For one, I was very glad to see them have Jason return to the more realistic kills rather than the otherworldly type kills that came along during the latter parts of the FT13th series. The fact that Jason runs added to the scare factor because he's such a huge guy, and the fact that he can move so fast added to his already intimidating presence. The acting for the movie isn't great, but it was good, and better than I thought.
All in all, I'm looking forward to seeing what will be done with this new franchise. They're off to a great start, so hopefully they keep it up.
8.8/10
No matter if he runs or not..He was still appearing in places instantly like normal anyway. Behind the asian guy, on top of the house after killing the black guy.
When I went to see it I couldn't help but laugh as the black guy got stabbed in the back by the axe. Though mainly because after his little stunt of stabbing Jason and running away to live briefly everybody in the theatre was clapping and hollering while I was just waiting for what I already knew was going to happen.

I dunno if he's gonna be a zombie, I mean lets face it...Jason in F13 original franchise wasn't a zombie till part 6, atm I don't count him as a zombie
Good point, they could just make it that they knocked him out, and didn't finish him off.
Spoiler:
What do you think became of the sister? Do you think he killed her.

I dunno if being
Spoiler:would knock you out but ya never 😬 maybe what kills us simply just knocks him out
stabbed and having the back of your head grinded
I dunno about, I think he did but then again it coulda been like the dream sequences in the others..but then again you actually knew it was a dream sequence at the end, like part 1 you think the chick got dragged under but then she wakes up...there was no waking up at the end of the F13 remake so I believe she might be but ya never no. It's just nice to see a male survivor for once 🙂
I wasn't expecting much from this remake and after watching it i was still disappointed. I think they could have done a lot with this remake. It's just another movie with pretty people getting killed in uninventive ways. I mean, really, the death scenes were boring. I didn't like the fact that Jason was a living human being, either. I think that would have been better left unanswered. The biggest problem i found, aside from how typical everything is, was the lack of gore and interesting death scenes.
With all of that said, it's not a bad movie. It's just another typical slasher movie. The film quality looks great and the first fifteen minutes of the movie is actually very entertaining. The rest of the movie, however is just more of the same, better than some but worse than most.
I wouldn't mind seeing another one. I just hope that it's more original than just singling out beautiful people and killing them one by one.
.........
The point of this movie wasn't to create inventive kills or have a zombie Jason. It was to combine the elements of the first few films while adding new elements in order to create a movie for the new generation, and to reinvent Jason as a character. It worked. Horror movies become incredibly stupid when there's a hell of a lot of gore and blood. What we got in this movie was just enough, and was done very well, IMO.
