Respect Ares: God Of War

Ares actually took more punches from Thor in warrior madness than anyone else, barring Thanos. While it took him months to heal, surviving that is something.

Ares durability is really getting a push. Riding a missile and walking away without batting an eye lash.

I am not sure that it is. He never had a real problem with thoses type of attacks, it seems like he has more trouble with piercing assaults then anything.

Though I agree he been potrayed as more impressive latly however will that remain after this arc, shall be seen.

Well it was impressive. His piercing durability has definitely gotten a push.

i thought his durability seeming weak in his miniseries was cause he had been living among humans for so long, making him weak or summin

That is so true. I remember Ares got shot in the back in his miniseries and he fell on the ground bleeding. Still he managed to get back up very quickly.

i dont think it was weakened. most of the blows he took in this
were from another god, so its sort of on a comparative scale.

Looking at this though (and it's clear he's shot in the noggin), it's arguable that although he wasn't shown to be bleeding in the New Avengers scan... maybe he did get shot through the head by Bukcy Cap and just healed from it immediately?

That is true. Same can be said for Thor. Thor wasn't bulletproofed before, but I am very glad that now he is.

loads of thor fans deny thor being vunerable to bullets earlier in his career , most of the evidence they provide shows bullets hitting armour and such etc
