Wow!

"Marvel turns 'Iron Man' into gold with $100M-plus debut"

"Iron Man" was the 10th biggest opening of all time and the fourth biggest for a superhero movie. Among nonsequels, it came in behind only the first "Spider-Man," which premiered with $114.8 million."

Holy. I dunno if any other superhero film's gonna beat those numbers this year. (Spiderman 1 came out 6 years ago) Not "Hulk" not "Hancock" not even "The Dark Knight" i think. And that's likely the better movie, imo. But still, T.D.K.'s the action movie i'm waiting to see the most, out of any this year.

"Ironman" was heavily marketed and advertised. But so is T.D.K. kinda. I know numbers don't really matter but they do say what was more popular amoung movie goers.

Good stuff.

My only complaint with this movie was the way they did Jarvis. That was lame and I was really looking foward to that.

Congrats to Iron Man and the earnings but I don't care what anyone says, The Dark Knight is the movie is gonna kill everything. Not sure if it will make as much as this but hey, you can't go wrong with Bale, Ledger, Oldman, Caine, and Freeman.

Yes you can.

I liked this movie more then I looked Batman Begins, really. I thought Begins was boring, Bale the main reason. I'm in the minority, though.

What were they meant to do with Jarvis? Have a man do all of it?

Batman begins was boring? What kind of popcorn were you eating?

Just got back from a second viewing.

Did anyone notice, during the end credits, when the armor designs are being showcased, one of the armors was War Machine.

I did notice that right away. Glad that was put in during the end credits.

I wonder how War Machine will be used in the sequels

Apparently the shitty stuff. It was just... really, really boring to me. But that might not have to do with the movie so much as the atmosphere. The movie was done superbly, I just found it's atmosphere, it's villains, and it's fighting scenes lack luster. Especially the fighting scenes. The whole "Blur everything so you can never really see what's going-on... as if you were actually fighting Batman!" idea was shite.

I'd assume on the same lines he's used in the Iron Man comics, hero-support.

It's not a standard action film, agreed.

The atmosphere lacklustre? If anything was quite the opposite of lacklustre in Batman Begins it was the atmosphere.

Anyway, Iron Man has become one of only 10 films to have broken the $100m barrier in its first three days. It's global total now stands around $200 (or £101).

I'm pretty glad for Marvel really, who have really turned around expectations and proven that the talent actually counts. Hope they don't get overexicted with all these profit margins and overproduce their next batch.

Went to see this the other night, and I loved it, it was also very hilarious 😂

it is in my top 5 superhero movies 😄

saw this this weekend, it was ok. too ,uch waffling to little action.

Well... yeah. It's not a factually bad movie, obviously. I just didn't like the way they set some stuff up and did some stuff.

Some of the action was well displaced though and most of it was fun to watch. The only one I had a problem with was the final action scene. For some reason I didn't enjoy it much.

i really don't want

Spoiler:
Terrence Howard to be Warmachine
😬

I thought Iron Man was great. For a comic book movie, I think it's one of the best.

Hey, has anybody already talked about how Robert Downy Jr. will be in the Incredible Hulk as Tony Stark? If not, check this out . . . . Robert Downy Jr. will be in the Incredible Hulk as Tony Stark!

yup yup
