here's the thing unlike normal reconts where part of the timeline is deleted in order to make room for a change to happen, marvel decided to say that everything that happend in pete's past timeline still happend every event including everything that happened in civil war, the only thing is the marrage was removed from the time line.. so if you think of pete's life up till now as a perfectly layed out track then joe just dumped another track on top of the one that already is there rather than tearing it down and rebuilding it
still total crap IMO
I'd respect a company so much more if they stole Draco's title and named some event "Continuity Crisis" just to be honest with fans, then retconned all kinds of crap and tried to make their characters coherent. It would be fun.
But if you want flawless continuity, we're clearly in the wrong hobby. I can deal with that more easily than the character changes themselves.
Cohearant continuity is achievable, it just takes more work. I'm not even talking Roy Thomas-OCD-type stuff either. If you're hired to write or edit a book, you should have the professionalism to familiarize yourself with the character's history to avoid gross contradictions. I'm not saying every story needs to be a history lesson, or that it's a huge deal if the Rhino's favorite color is blue one year and green the next, but things shouldn't be so out of whack as to be distracting and make it harder to suspend disbelief.
Good stories can be told without disrespecting good ones that have come before.

Found it about a year before you posted your sig.
Most likely when I was searching for web-comics or transformers related stuff.
Oh, and by the way.
Here's something for all you marvelites and Spider-fans disappointed by One More Day.
Wow... at first I thought this story blew balls, but now that it's over...it's terrific! It was such a ravishing tale, that it ravished me! I can't see what all the fuss is about, with the whole story. I mean, Joey is just trying to bring Spidey back to the golden age. Back when he was young, and everything was cool.
Really, everyone should just cool down, because really, everything everyone says has no effect on my thinking... probably because I didn't read any of it... ermm
