STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Trials

"No offense, but I don't think you would be much help," Trax says.

"We could lure them out," Hoondan suggests. "If they tire of waiting for us, they might send a few in..."

"Or we take it to them," Prassk says. "We outnumber them once Trax gets this thing down."

"Yes we do outnumber them and we could possibly overwhelm them, but I do not know how many causalities we would take on. There still is much fighting ahead of us, and they have turrets and cover."

"If we can lure some in then so be it, how do you think we could do that Hoondan?"

"Simple. We wait."

"Waiting could give them time to pull something on us," Prassk says. "We can't give them time to think!"

"As my Master would say Patience Prassk we have the advantage right now if they attack us. But perhaps you could help us. You are Pirate and have spent time around these men. We need a way to force them to us. Do you know of anything that can goad the pirates to coming to us?"

"Impatience will bring them," Hoondan replies.

Prassk sighs, frustrated. "I'm telling you, it's a bad idea. Pirates aren't stupid. Hell, we don't know what they have in those crates up there."

As if the accentuate his point, a round object comes clanking down the stairs...

Xavier looks at the things coming down the stairs. He will use a combat push on it to try and throw it back out.

The singular thing is flung into the air, back up the stairs, where it explodes brilliantly with an enormous blast that showers debris and sparks and fire down upon you and your men.

Crap, Xavier. That was a thermal detonator.

Was there any chance that the pirates got hurt by it.

And also this gives me an idea. Didn't our men take high explosives from the armory. Would there be anyway we could use those and throw them behind the Pirate position. The explosives mixed with the ones by the crates could force the pirate to charge into our position.

It did not go far enough.

The high explosives are all at the back of your forces, so that those carrying them don't get gunned down or blown up.

Well in any case Xavier has decided to charge. Is there anywa while he is charging he could use the cranes to smash int the crates giving them a little distraction.

Unlikely.

Another thermal detonator comes tinkling down the stairs, but Hoondan is on it this time. Just as the spherical bomb passes into your line of sight, he snaps off a shot with his sniper rifle. The beam slices straight through the detonator and it bursts in a brilliant flash.

"Give the word and we'll go," Prassk says. "We can't keep that up."

It is now or never.

"CHARGE"

With that Xavier will use Blur to reach the top of the stairs fast. He wants to use Master Saber Throw to target the four turrets.

Bounding to the top of the stairs with abnormal speed, you fling your lightsaber as soon as you show yourself. The lightsaber spins haphazardly, but you manage to maintain control of the whirling blade and cut apart three out of four turrets. But it leaves you feeling drained, for the moment.

Hoondan and Prassk draw bead on the pirates that had been responsible for chucking thermal detonators. Hoondan misses his shot, the bolt sizzling across the floor, while Prassk unloads his automatic pistols into one of the crates from which they pulled these detonators. With BGB and light pistols, he makes four attacks... all inflicting just enough damage to punch through the armored crate and blow it up, taking out four pirates.

Spraying wildly, the slaves score fifteen kills!

Now the pirates get to respond... any defense for Xavier?

Xavier will use dodge until he gets his lightsaber back.

Displeased with their initial inability to snuff you all out, the pirates lean out from behind their cover and open fire at the Taskmaster's word. Twenty-three slaves are shot down. Ouch.

The Taskmaster himself tries to blast you, but it is a near miss thanks to your Dodge.

The Turret tries to catch out Prassk and Hoondan, but no success. The energy stream it unleashes bursts against the floor in a super-heated explosion, but does no harm to anyone.

Your lightsaber returns to your hand, but your Force pool has been depleted by your efforts. But you are free to act!

Xavier orders the slaves to open fire on the crates hoping to cause some more explosions. With that he continues to move forward.

Good thinking. One crate, two crate, three crate, four, and a fifth for good measure, all blown up by the redirected gunfire under your orders. Prassk adds his own gunfire to this, blowing up a sixth and seventh crate. Thirty-five pirates filled with fire and shrapnel lay dead on the floor!

You advance into the midst of the pirates, the turret following your movement... until Hoondan scores a direct hit. The armor-piercing beam of his disruptor rifle punches straight through its protective coverings. It brings its attention back to Prassk and Hoondan, but Hoondan finishes it off with another direct hit. Its circuitry melted, the turret explodes.

You are now amidst the pirates, Xavier, lightsaber at the ready.

Xavier raises his hand high and brings his lightsaber down upon a pirates chest.

Defend for defense. Xavier will snap the attack.

The pirates manage one final volley before you tear into them, claiming nine slaves. The Taskmaster misses his shot on you, frantically squeezing off shots as you come closer...

The pirate you attack is cut in two by your lightsaber.

The slaves once again successful detonate the crates assisted by Hoondan and Prassk, wiping out the remaining pirates and leaving the Taskmaster all by himself and standing in your way...

Xavier looks at the man and glares him down, "What now." He tells him.
