In point of fact, Superman DID use freeze breath on Diana.
Far from setting her up for decisive victory, however, it resulted in that ear-ringing clap you saw a page or two ago.

Freeze breath slows down the opponent, effectively widening the speed difference.
Once frozen for a second, Superman can get free hits. It's very cheap.

Superman has taken Shazam bolts in strides, he would take some minor magic lightning bolts and move on. I raise you oneshot KTFO of wonder woman courtesy of HV.

The funny thing is that Superman wasn't even attacking her directly.

Wonder Woman has stated herself that she cannot reliably beat Superman, while Superman has several instances of beating her (and some many of the JLA) in return. Superman beats her a good deal more than not, and anyone saying the only force on Earth that can take WW down is Superman is kidding themselves.

She can't knock him out with her strength. Her only option of winning is lasso and Superman can avoid it pretty easily. Superman wins at least 7/10.

No, he was bloodlusted and WW only slit his throat instead of cutting off his head to slow him down so that she could lasso that dude controlling superman. The writer was wide awake when he had WW do something he KNEW she could do. 🙄

And I see you totally missed the point. The only reason she can't beat him is because of Superman worship at D.C. She has the power set and the "skills" to be at the very least his equal. For her to say she can't beat him in battle when in fact she did is nothing but politics. MM and CM should whoop his ass as well, but they won't.

It's pretty sad how much people try and discount that fight even though Superman actually used his powers really well in it. I mean, heck, aside from that, you've got a draw in For Tomorrow as well. Of their last three big encounters pre-FP (FT, Sacr, and League of One), she ended up with the upper hand in two of them (including a flat-out win), though verbally saying Superman could win in one of those. And that's *before* she got an additional upgrade in the Zeus bracers, which'd be a great help against a magic-vulnerable foe like Superman!

Anyone saying that either one can't beat the other has their head in the sand.

Your ability to discard feats from DC characters you don't like is astounding. First Batman, now superman. Nah, it was because it was the only thing she could do. Superman might have as easily punched her in the sun instead of punching her back to earth and she would've been a nice crisped, fried amazon.

He didn't avoid the lasso under his own power, it was Max lord instructing him to avoid it. In his mind he was attacking doomsday and doomsday doesn't has a lasso.

Haha, you're insane. When did she got upper hand in For Tomorrow where he was bitchslapping her aside and catching her punch like nothing? Or where did she won in Sacrifice when all she did was slit his throat and broke the mind-control? Around the same time Batman slit his throat with kryptonite and Superman didn't even miss a beat.
