So now we've shown that the purple universe was conclusively NOT the amputated Here Comes Tomorrow future. (Although anyone with common sense would have realised that from the offset. Since when do you amputate something you want? 😕 )

Let’s look at why the universe she held was 616.

Well for a start, by amputating HCT future, Jean would have trimmed time back to 616.

616 Jean talks of how her friends deserve a better future than the HCT one.

The Phoenix Consciousness then tells Jean to go to the White Hot Room to grow a better future to replace the one she cut away(therefore obviously referring to 616 because not only is that where Jeans from, but its also the reality she cut HCT from)

Jean materializes a universe within the White Hot Room and gazing into it she hears "Gus was a good dog" "Every diamond has a flaw" "Are these words from the future?"

Where were those statements from? 😕

Allow me to reveal:

New X-men 119

"Gus was a good dog"

New X-men 128

"Are these words from the future"

All of these 616 statements coming from the reality Jean holds in her hands 😖hifty:

The reality Jean amputated HCT from was 616, the reality Jean held in her hand and then altered so as to ensure a new, brighter future took place was 616.

I'm going with the idea that anything set in the 'future' is just a variant of alternative realities. obeying the basic relations of 616 but then extrapolating them out or introducing new factors, in ways that cannot be taken as destined for 616 (present).

And thats cool. But where Mr Master went wrong was in believing that a divergent future was a completely separate universe. A divergent future is just a branch off of the 616 trunk, NOT a completely separate tree.

You except that reality 15104 is a divergent future. The bios even acknowledge it as a future of 616 and as such that means it is just a branch off of the 616 tree. Not another tree.

In accepting it as a future of 616, you must also accept that your interpretation is incorrect, because as a divergent future, more specifically an amputated future, it conclusively could NOT have been that divergent future what she had in her hands, to hear the past from and to apply her power too, to make changes within 616. 🙂
