Prime uses and needs his outside energy source.
He doesn't generate his own energy.
He is not a conduit for his energy, (the way Surfer is).

Agreed. With so much similarity in appearance, it is the more reasonable (simpler) stance to assume similarity in power. What impetus is there for assuming otherwise?

Its not even just the personality as well. I mean the guy has the same personality and the exact same job as 616 and then talks about how if he fights for the right cause he cant lose (implying power linked to confidence).

Hell im even thinking the reason why we couldnt see his insignia is because they didnt want to be a 100 percent obvious, but thats what they were implying.
