I would think I would remember that considering I had spartan. Its a reason I didnt just build a phantom zone projector and throw you all in it.

i actually don't recall ever hearing that . . .
anyway, you ported all my guys into nj's neutralizing room which was precisely a OHKO bfr win since i had no way to return . . . 😬 true, nj created the room, but by interpretation of the rule, THAT attack should have been viewed as illegal. (i'm not criticizing it and thought it was fine at the time and still do, but by strict definition of the rule it was a OHK via bfr.)
and one more point to the judges as we're discussing legalities -- could someone who votes AGAINST the cubes explain to me how my weapon is potentially illegal while no one has brought up bw's weapon?
his weapon instantly (at hyperlight speeds) steals all energy in the universe INCLUDING ALL SUPERPOWERS then fires back the energy of the entire universe. please, someone explain how a weapon that nullifies all powers and energy IN THE UNIVERSE, THEN hits with universal level power is legal and somehow considered 'defensible', but my cubes are not. anyone . . .?
in fact, let's make it official: i'd like to call for a vote from the judges on bw's weapon as well, since we're at it, and i'd love to hear the justification for letting one in, but not the other.
Well, personally, the reason B-Dub's weapon wouldn't be completely illegal is because you can just move out of the way of the blast, as simplistic as that may sound. It's not an unavoidable attack. It doesn't steal motion/kinesis, and it has to be aimed (per the scans). There's also another issue with it which I can't divulge as a judge, but should be quite obvious...
With the Cosmic Cube there is no "Damn, I missed" or "Damn, he evaded my attack" possibility.

Yeah, not sure I follow delph's logic there. A universal blast is dodge-able? Kind of a double standard to say no to the cube but yes to that, isn't it?
The theory that the cubes are reality manip. is just plain false. I brought it up a while ago, know as much about them as anyone (from evangel's tourney) and no one has shown otherwise. If there's some sort of OHK rule, that's a different matter, but the cube manipulates energy into matter and vice-versa. In and of itself, it doesn't do anything that other characters in the tournament can do, so I'm a bit mystified by all the talk of banning it. Hell, amp Firestorm and you'd have roughly the same power set.
Seems to me like we could be having this same convo for Blair's thing, but he cried "wolf" (i.e. illegal) sooner, and got everyone stirred up. Is there something that I'm missing, or is this just blown out of proportion like I think it is?
Also, people keep asking for "votes" on this. Newjak makes a ruling, right? Who else would vote on it? If it's judges like myself, I'd actually question the accountability of that since we're not the ones who have been establishing and following the rules all this time. Host(s) and participants are.

nj asked all 5 judges to vote --he himself is abstaining-- on the legality of the cube.
delph is against the cube. you still need to vote, bada, bats, and jay also need to vote on BOTH weapons . . .
bw's weapon ALSO breaks the OHKO rule, btw -- in one attack it drains all powers/energy then hits with universal level power.

I have talked to B-Dub and he seems to be in agreement with this. So the matches will go back and for now the cube and the B-Dub's weapon will be ruled legal. Afterwards that could change but right now go for it guys 😛
